I have a question to ask. Why is Roger Clemens right now pitching in triple A? May it be that the best pitcher in the world needs time to work off the rest to get back into playing form?

Why is there mini-camp or practice if football players could just show up on Sunday ready to play to the best of their abilities?

Superman needs time to adjust. He needs time to regain his complete strength. It was the storyline for when he died in the comics. Stop acting like the concept of catching 400,000 pounds of falling metal on planet earth full of human lives that need to be protected is something that even Superman would shrug off.
i said as long as it is explained in the movie. not the fact that it just seems he gained so much more strengthen out of no were to toss a contintent into space.

supes has been around for almost 70 years...it's kinda hard to come up with totally original material for Superman within good taste. supes saving planes has been done several times but never in the movies or tv shows (excluding cartoons). i think it's a great way to show off Superman's abilities...

Actually, he did save a plane in S:TM...but it doesn't matter either way to me.

Here's an angle I haven't seen discussed yet, don't believe it to be true, just throwin' it out there as a possibility.

We know or assume it is very possible that Clark learns of the plane disaster in Bibbo's bar. Supposedly Clark is there in part because he is somewhat despondent over Lois' new life after Superman. Is it possible then that Big Blue is FUI (Flying Under the Influence) when he attempts the rescue of the plane, hence the sloppy rookie mistakes.

Hey look!! Superman's DRUNK!!

i like how everyone here is making excuses, and saying he was thinking what he should do, utter bull, if he wanted to stop the plane . h eshoul dflying in grab the tail to level it it out from the tail spin, then fly forward and slow it down gradually, instead of grabbing the wing.

If he had grabbed the tail and exerted any force on the thing it would have ripped off, and then the plane would have really been out of control. I don't claim to know that much about aerodynamics, but I am in the Navy and I work in Aviation and I know if you pull the rotor or the tail off anything that is flying it's going to be tough to stop it because it's going to spin like crazy and go totally out of contol.

Where are the ADs, AMs, and AMEs who can confirm this?

i hope in the plane sequence we can see him really straining to stop it... like spiderman trying to stop the train in spiderman 2, towards the end of that part, when he's like, screaming.

Yes! One of my favourite scenes of the Spider-Man films.

The best part in the MTV Movie Awards besides Jessica Alba and Famke Jannsen was when Superman finally faced Batman and gave him the award for best superhero.

Then Batman said, sorry Superman but Batman is the most bad-ass superhero.

They should definitely make a World's Finest movie starring Brandon Routh and Christian Bale!!!

i enjoyed the flying sound effects..just a little bit more powerful than the original sound.

I work with F-18s i can confirm sir that you are quite correct. You take off the wing not only do you lose the wings but you lose outboard leading edge flaps and ailerons as well. And plane goes um BOOMMMM!!!!!

And in the navy I am what you call an AZ, even though I am in the marines so i have seen a lot of this type of stuff.

Does anybody know if they have the mtv awards show of Routh presenting the award of best hero to Christian Bale. I would love to see that.
