I'm surprisingly not tired, even though I'm running on 3-4 hours of sleep. Busy day tomorrow too - volunteering all next week at the World Figure Skating Championships. Pity that all of my favorite skaters have retired, but maybe it'll be a good thing so I don't freak out at seeing famous skaters. If I can recognize any of the newer ones, that is.

Well from what I hear this "Re-imagining" that they plan on making of the Crow is gonna be less than stellar. The last time I saw a movie that was shot guerilla style, was the Blair Witch..and I puked. Motion sickness is almost a gimme with that style of shooting.

Ok so I'm trying to settle a conflict with a friend of mine over the Joker's shoes in the movie, are they grey suede or brown suede? I think it's grey, but he thinks it's black. I know sometimes the lighting can be a factor but, I'm torn, and I want sceen accuracy for my CON-costume.

Yeah. Well I'm not as hardcore as I used to be. All of my favorite skaters have retired and I haven't been watching enough to adopt new favorites.

I do prefer watching the men though. They're faster and more powerful than the ladies, which are usually too dainty for my tastes.

Who's goin' to the CON this summer?

I haven't decided, but by the time I decide to go, the only way I could get it is by volunteering. My friend told me they've already sold out the 4-day passes!

In other news, it's incredibly reassuring to know that our lab building doesn't have a backup generator. If the power had been out the entire night, all of our cells would be dead and that would have been 3 years of work and tons of NIH (read: government) money down the drain.
