Okay flameheads.

MSJ told me the 9th is the big date for the S*** to hit the fan -- two days from now.

If you see anything on the TV or outside advertising, let the rest of us know.

I know we have some other threads on hype and posters, but this can be our thread for outdoor signage and TV ads ... let the S*** fly!

40 to go !! :ghost:

Stuff for the fans..."S---?" Hmmm.

I suppose a...unexpected trailer or clip or the first look clip might not be it?

Man I'd like to think so. But I can't wait anyway!:D:up:

At this point, a completely new trailer is probably unlikely, as much as I would love to have one. But, you never know. Due to the mostly negative reaction to everything that has been released so far, footage wise, Sony/MSJ/etc. may decide to throw out a brand new trailer during Super Bowl or something else during Feb.

I have no idea why there is no much negativity though...the movie looks *****ing awesome so far and it's only a month and 2 weeks away! There's no way it can be as bad as anyone is saying, or bad at all. Personally, I think it's going to be the best comic film ever.

But yeah, I'm definetly looking forward to the TV spots/clips/etc. coming very soon. And I guess I'll see the actual movie when it arrives February 16th...:woot:

Geez I can't wait, it's rearing so close. I just hope the TV Spots don't give it all away like X3.

Where are you hearing this negativity from?

From what I've seen, people are either just not interested in the "flaming skull guy movie" or think it looks great. I haven't seen anyone say "that looks awful".

The negativity comes from all around...and it's not just me that hears it. Ask everyone on the Hype. Now, I will say that after people watched the trailers (especially the newest trailer from October) they were all reacting pretty positive, but I've heard some people and websites (no links available) say that the film looks worse each day.

But, they'll get theirs when the movie blasts us away in a month!

ive read a good deal of those comments from all over the web actually. pretty much all of the online "indie" movie sites (AICN, CHUD, IMDB forums, ect) have been openly negative on the film. saying all kinds of things about the cheap looking cgi, MSJ's horrible track record, and Cage's funny hairpiece /bad acting. it goes on and on....ive been keeping track of all those sh^&*y comments. its really amazing just how much hate there is for GR from other comic fans. i knew there was a general indifference to him....but hate?
there are more threads about GR failing on imdb than there are postive ones about it succeeding. right now i think the majority of the jaded online community are a lost cause since they have already decided its a bomb even before the 1st trailer was shown. the only hope this movie has is w/ the general public...and really thats the whole point of making these kind of films in the 1st place anyway.
for GR fans we've already won...we are getting our movie. i just hope it does well for the producers and MSJ since they have put at least 3 years of their lives behind this as well as some serious cash. cash which many "comic fans" felt GR was undeserving of :cmad:

You know, a lot of people on the Hype Comics section hate, really hate Wolverine Origins(Including me). Yet the book is a top seller.

Same principle here, the internet isn't everything.(shocking I know.)

I have faith in MSJ.

i hope this is true in the case of Ghost Rider....but alot of times the buzz (good or bad) from the net can have a affect on the media and then the public. it really depends on the movie.
I have complete faith in MSJ as well...hes proven to me that this movie will be very faithful to the books. its people in general i dont have faith in :ninja:

I think internet fanboys are the last thing that should be contributed to bad buzz

considering they seem to all be getting dumber as the days go on

lol AICN is loaded with those!

Even though I was among those who was somewhat dissapointed with the Domestic trailer (I like the international trailer better), I can't really say that I should be miserable about it. Considering this is my favorite comic character, and he's coming on screen with hellfire blazing!

2ndly, MSJ and the Arads really reached out to the core fans to make sure this movie turns out great and we can't say we will be totally dissapointed when we know how much heart went into making this film.

Let the naysayers say what they want, but can you believe somebody would actually spend time day in, day out, to criticize a movie they dont even want to see? What a waste of time? Therefore how can you take a person like that seriously? You really can't.

I think the negativity is slowing moving away though. People were condeming this movie for a long time, without really knowing anything about it. Now that they actually see what the movie is about, even if they did like what they saw, they wouldn't admit it.

Then again, some of the nay sayers have come around so...

Either way, sleeper hit.

I was wondering about a new trailer as well. Seems to me that if they were going to release one, it would be about now... almost a month before. Perhaps not though. I know I'd love to see at least one more...

Dudes, with what I saw heard from that father and son in Wallyworld today when I picked up that 6" GR and Hellcycle, Once the commericals hit the tubes Fathers and sons from all over are gonna want to see the film.
The father and Son's team I want to hera from about GR are the Tuttle guys! They more than likely would see the film, I know Mikey would.

Hey guys! Yeah, the outdoor campaign is going up as we speak. Has anyone else seen "The Ghost Rider Was Here" on the side of buildings and billboards? There are over 20 over them here in L.A. Pretty groovy.

T.V. ads start (I think) on the 14th. There will be several differents one, from lighter fare to heavier, to love story, etc. They've been testing through the roof! There will be lots of specialty things coming up on T.V. as well, shows hosted by Nic and Eva, etc. I'll keep you posted.

As far as "negativity", trust me, you have to have a thick skin when making one of these comic book movies. I especially get a kick out of those people who sit on message boards all day saying how they're not going to go to the movie! I mean, I don't like Indian food (not a big Curry fan). But you can bet your ass I don't hang out in Indian restaurants all day telling everybody how much I hate the food! I'd go get a friggin' pizza and be done with it!

The good news is that when I showed those 20 minutes of footage at the Hollywood Cemetery the press we got afterwards was 100% positive. Even sites like Joblo and Latino Review (who have been slamming us all along) changed their tune and are now on the G.R. band wagon. What a novel idea -- actually waiting to see the footage before forming an opinion!

As always, I appreciate your support and words of encouragement. I hope you all had a great New Year's Eve. 2007 will be the Year of the Rider!

Awesome MSJ. :ghost:
I'm getting more and more excited. :)

Great to hear from you Mark. I'm really getting way too excited for this film, but that's because I know it's going to be such an awesome film!

As said by the above posters, we all have faith in you and your work, so even if everyone else hates it, we won't. But we don't think they'll hate it...:woot:

BTW buddy, if possible, you think you could return my Pm...? No rush...I might Pm you again soon anyways.
