While I'm super stoked to go to a friend's house to watch the Bengals... I'm pretty excited for what comes later. The guy is a hardcore 49ers fan and his wife is hardcore Packers fan. It's always fun when their teams play each other because they're so competitive. We're calling it the Divorce Bowl 2013.

These words mean nothing to me. Use others.

I stay as far away as possible from armored rugby, but those words have meanings I'm familiar with
Movies and their obligatory insertion of some cultural habits

Id make a British joke...but I'm rather apathetic to football myself.

Guys....do not make comments that can be deemed offensive to some...and do not quote those comments when someone else posts them.

No, see, I like Rugby because of Ruggers. I don't actually watch the game or even know how to play it. But damn, 'dose Ruggers be sexy.

The thing about rugby is that you have all theses rules and have to be of a certain build (though I know a slim guy who played it).

With football (British Football, you know the one you use your feet...) the rules are simpler and all you need is a ball and a makeshift goal post.

Comparing the two sports (three if you want to count international football [soccer]) is disingenuous anyways. They all may have similar ways of playing on the surface but deeper down they are quite different in their game play.

While rugby looks more rough, American football allows for more dangerous action despite the padding appearing to make it safer. Both have their dangers and mitigations disguised by the padding or lack of (less padding means less likely to do something bone-headed thinking the padding would save you). As to football/soccer, try taking a kick to the shin or any other part of your anatomy and say it doesn't hurt. Particularly if you get grazed by the cleats.
