Seriously, I think we get a split suit when Harvey decides to embrace his new persona. Probably this happens in the third film. 'Dark Knight' just begins Two-Face's journey.
I think a lot of people on this board envy Nolan. I do too, but not because he is a big time Hollywood-accepted director. I envy his freedom in exploring all this rich material and making it grist for his mill. Harvey Dent is a very interesting character who has been featured in only the most cartoonlike way on TV and film so far. This will be the first time the world has seen such a full-featured view of him.
It's not as if any other well-known 'superhero' character (that I can think of, anyway) had a universe that could be explored without a major suspension of disbelief. Nolan is trying to keep that jump as short as possible. With Spiderman or Superman or X-Men, you have to decide to enter a realm of fantasy. Sure, men can fly and stick to walls and turn into ice. No problem. With Nolan, we're debating whether someone would actually wear an eccentric business suit.
The "reality" is: Celebs, gangstas and other folks have worn stranger things than a two-toned outfit in order to express/define themselves. Like:
