Uglydolls Movie Signs on Director Robert Rodriguez

STX Entertainment's Uglydolls movie has landed a director in fan-favorite Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Machete) and a release date of May 10, 2019 has been announced! There are currently no major films scheduled for that date, although it will be following the untitled Avengers: Infinity War sequel a week before on May 3. A poster was recently unveiled at CinemaCon.

Roberts will play character Wedgehead and joins previously announced cast including Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Janelle Monáe, Nick Jonas, Wanda Sykes, Gabriel Iglesias and Pitbull.

It does look pretty bad. Maybe the story will offer something more to chew on but right nao things are not looking good.

I have seen Spider-verse multiple times. As well as seen Broly. I am getting real, real, real tired of this trailer. Song is catchy though.

It's getting real annoying seeing these trailers before EVERY movie. I saw it before Spiderverse, Bumblebee, Mary Poppins, Captain Marvel, Dumbo and Grinch.

It probably will. This will share the same fate that has befallen Wonder Park. Traditional 3D animation outside the big 5 (Pixar, WDAS, Illumination, Dreamworks & SPA) doesn't get much purchase so this is practically DOA.

Even WAG's efforts such as Storks & Smallfoot (both are excellent) underwhelm at the BO.
