Something just looks off about this. It just doesn't look as stylized as the first.

It looks fine to me. Rodriguez did say that they were changing up the style somewhat for the sequel.

He always has, but here he really looks like Joker Jr.

Aren't Alba and Gordon-Levitt's stories completely made up for the movie?

Kind of makes me feel like they already shot their load and used their best stories in the first one, except maybe for A Dame to Kill For.

It worked out okay for The Hobbit I see no reason why it can't work for this.

A Dame to Kill For is a hell of a story, so there's that to look forward to. Plus Green as Ava Lord - one of Miller's most memorable creations.

The one thing I am wondering is this - how will the stories be presented? Will they be cross cut or will they be presented one after the other?

I believe the theatrical cut and the director's cut took 2 different approaches.

I'm hoping its like the first one narrative wise. I just think its awesome that it looks like Marv is in at least three of the stories. I knew he is lead in just another saturday night and supporting in a dame to kill for (read that book after seeing the first film all of those years ago, so awesome!) but it looks like he's in Nancy's new story too. I have no problem with the look. It looks even more like a living breathing comic book to me.

Nancy looks badass. Marv Jr, almost.
Ava looks amazing, and of course Gail. Color me excited for this.

I just saw some pics of Frank Miller at SDCC. Is he ill? He does not look good at all. :(

Yeah, I was a little shocked. I didn't think he was looking great a few years back, but then I see him now, and it's like he's aged 20 years.

I saw a pic of Miller just now and wow, he looks sickly. No joke.

I wasn't able to go today (I shall tomorrow to the CON) but my friend said the reaction to Sin City was...'muted'. Not mixed, but it feels like they've waited TOO long and the anticipation from some folks isn't there. They've moved on, to a certain degree.

So did anyone ask who Rosario is playing in Dardevil?

Thought the new trailer was great, the best yet in fact.

Not surprised to hear the reaction was muted though, its almost 10 years since the 1st movie came out and they have simply waited too long to make it. I like the look of the movie, but wouldnt be shocked if it didnt make much money.
