yep punishment begins dec 5th, but us brits haven't yet received a release date does anyone know when the UK gets PWZ as this is driving me mental  cheers!

I asked this a couple of weeks back but no one answered.

Berlin gets it Febuary 5th and Belgium 25th of March..

So could that mean we get it around then?

thanks,, I have another member from the UK on a different boards keeping tabs.. if I hear anything I'll post it. it looks like you got the date though cool.

Wouldn't mind knowing where you got the info from.

In the new tv spot it says in cinemas everywhere December 5th

Is that just USA everywhere or including UK everywhere?

As far as i know PWZ won't hit the international circuit until 2009 (March here). So only North America will get to see it on Dec.5.

I suspect though that the marketing campaign will be much different and hopefully better since Sony are handing the overseas distribution.:o

I've just been on the BBFC website and they've finally rated War Zone!

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classified.nsf/0/6163659132CB76A080257505006C06DF?OpenDocument

I'm pleased to see it's been given an 18 and contains strong bloody violence and gore.
I expected this rating as that's what the other two movies were given here in the UK.

Unfortunately there's still no official UK release date, (I'm hoping it's coming before Jan 30th) and I'd expect it announced anytime soon as it's finally been rated ;)

Hope Jan 30th is right, dont want to have to wait too long.

If movie companies are going to dick around for months on end then I will seek the movie out elsewhere, cough cough ......bitorrent anyone?

I am willing to pay my money like every other Joe but I am not waiting for months on end till these lazy bastards can be bothered to release the movie in the UK.

It's silly. It's not like you're in a country where there's only one or two movie theatres... you're the freaking U.K. If us in Canada can get the same movie the same day the USA does, I don't see why you can't. There's probably a reason, but I don't know it!

^Exactly, it frustrates me to no, there are freaking 8 cinema's within driving distance from me, so its not like there is a lack of them.

How come you have a 100x100 avatar yet have only made 688 posts? Am I missing something?

I don't know. It just says in the user CP "avatar limit size 100x100". It didn't give a reason why that was.

Yeah, I was surprised when I saw that too. I tried uploading this Evil Dead avatar as 100X100 after I noticed yours and it shrunk the image down to the size you see now.

I remember the UK advertising (Or lack thereof) for the 2004 mvie. It was really just the odd late night TV spot shwn on Bravo. I remember seeing online in the US buildboards advertising that one. However, if Lionsgate have really done so little to market this domestically, I'll be amazed if it is even released in cinemas in the UK. In the south of London, I only managed to find one showing in the opening week of 2004 for The Punisher within just undera 10 mile radius, and it was late night subtitled. I have a feeling Lionsgate will push straight to DVD and try to get their money back that way!......

Unfortunatly I think this will probably happen too - I dont think we will get a cinema release after it box office in the states. :csad:
