International release dates!!

Oh wow, and I was complaining about here in Spain!! .... But, still, I CAN'T WAIT TWO MONTHS WHILE READING ALL OF YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT THE MOVIE AND NOT SEEING IT!!!!:csad: :cmad:

A new release date was announced today for Germany: August 02, 2007!

Regards,
Maestro

And the production companies and distributors wonder why there is so much bootlegging going on........

They are the main problem.

Hehe. Well the old one was August 14 ... but now they're going against Transformers which was pushed back in Germany to August 02, 2007. So August 02 will be a tough 'cause now I'll watch both movies on the same day. :D

Maestro

Bedankt Steve.:cwink: Sounds like an awesome event but i don't think i'll be able to go.

The release date here has officially moved from August 9 (some sites listed August 8) to July 26! It's an improvement but still i think they should be releasing it much earlier.5 more weeks....

OMG. You mean you still haven't seen the film Retro?

Retro, sucks to be you, they should release it everywhere and cut down on bootlegging!

Doug won't be able to see the film in Hungary until July 19th. Not too long a wait, but still, thiese staggered release dates are pointless. HELLBOY was staggered over 5 months, and the DVD was out in the States before the film was out in cinemas here. Ridiculous.

I agree. Thankfully the studios behind Spider-Man 3 and Pirates did not choose that release strategy.

Nope. I have no doubt he'll tootle along to a local cinema in Budapest to see it as soon as it opens, though. :D

It'd never happen in a million years but if i was in charge at Fox i'd ship a print of the movie so the whole HB2 cast (incl of course Doug) and crew could see the movie the same time as the FF2 cast and crew were.Knowing that the director Del Toro is such a comic book geek i'm sure that wouldn't have been such a problem.

The german release date was pushed back to August 09, 2007! :csad:

Hey I guess there is quite a few of us in the same boat. Unfortunately, having seen these threads daily for quite awhile has waned my enthusiasm about the movie which in no way will affect my decision as to go or not.

One thing that sucks here in geneva, they have an open air cinema in the summer and for some stupid reason, they are showing both FF2 and Transformers in french. That sucks . Guess I will be seeing it in a closed cinema.

When was it originally suppose to come out?

*too lazy to look it up*:yay:

The first one was August 23, than August 14, August 02 and now it's August 09. I guess it was pushed back because Transformers hits theaters in Germany on August 02.

Whoa, I was complaining I had to wait to weeks...

Damn, a lot of movies are getting this threatment over here. Spidey3 and Pirates are the only ones that opened in the worldwide date...

Hi everybody!!

I just came from watching Harry Potter and, there was only one trailer before the movie. Fantastic Four!!!

I was sooo exited when I FINALLY saw it in the big screen! When I saw the first second of the trailer I screamed: Los Cuatro Fantasticos!!!! And everybody looked at me.... but it got worse when I started to say what was going to happen before it happened (Or the scene with Ben lifting the car, and then he and Johnny in the flower shop... I said: those scenes are not in the movie!!!)...... I was jumping in my seat, saying every line of the trailer by memory and the rest of the audience were 'sssshhhhing' me. When it ended, kids started aplauding the trailer (me too), while others were still looking at me with a weird face. I said aloud then: I saw it a long time ago, but we are the last one to see it in the whole world!!

Well, just wanted to let you all know that, it's coming here FINALLY!! And even thou I know everything about the movie, I can't wait to watch it on the big screen!!!:yay:

Yeah, Germany got a new release date ... again! Now it's August 14, 2007 ... again!

:hyper:

Man, I can't believe what they are doing with the release dates... Looks as if the people in charge were the same people selling bootlegs...

Transformers is scaring the hell out of them....at this rate it could be October for the next change......

I think they are realizing that they only have a few possible large markets left and they need to make the best of those..........

Well now it starts 14 days after Transformers, 5 days after Evan Allmighty and 2 days before Rush Hour 3.

Regards,
Maestro

Rush Hour 3 will kill it....
