How would you feel if (in a big attempt to stray the Ultimate universe farther from the Earth 616 continuity) with the introduction of Ultimate Apocalypse (if that ever happens) leads to an Ultimate version of the Age of Apocalypse that doesn't get undone? (I am in no way, shape, or form hoping this would happen, but if it does, then it does. I'm just wondering how you all would respond to this)

Well, i'd be kinda happy if aspects of XML2 were the basis for the story, which more or less was Ultimate AoA.

Nah. It would destroy the point of the Ultimate line.

they alread introduced Apocalypse...it's unknown whether he was real, or just a figment of a very delusional Mr. Sinister's imagination.

I think that this will definitely cause the death of the Ultimate verse. Maybe it should be time, for the ultimate verse, to tell new stories and not just repropose old 616 episodes/saga

They don't need to copy AoA, as much as I liked the origional. They can still do a story with Apocalypse with huge ramifications, they just shouldn't take it in the same direction. I'd prefer for Ultimates to stray farther from 616 and not use the same general stories as I've read the origionals, and read the Ultimate series for something different from time to time. You can have Apoc make horsemen out of some powerful marvel hero's he never has before, ppl not just from the X-Men, and have him take over an entire city. If done right they can make an awesome event out of it, if they don't constantly screw his character up like they do in 616, do the whole ancient Egypt Pharroh thing, and he's remaking a city in his image and the Ultimates have to stop him. Make him more psychotic in the way of killing ppl without caring, and have him presumed dead at the end with big changes happening because of it (he can always come back in another storyline). That was it's a huge event, Apoc is left as a memory til his next arrival of being a major bad ass, and you didn't have to kill Xavier or do the whole alternate timeline thing to do it.

Personally I wouldn't mind him straying from the usual formula for horsemen like I said above. I think Thor would make a kick ass horsemen of Death, Hulk (since he's semi bad already), and toss in two other top level ppl fitting something along the line of pestilence and so on, and you'd have a set up for a huge battle, especially if they were enhanced, which would make 4 hero's turned horsemen + Apoc vs. the Ultimates (X-Men, and Avengers and so on) believable. On second though I think Spidey would make a good horsement too :) (well possibly, in the ultimates atleast, not in 616).

sure, no doubt about it. But the problem is that the concept is the same: so why writing another AoA, and not, for example, an Age of Onslaught? The fact, for me, is that the Ultimate verse should be used to give us a completely original story, and shouldn't depend on what was done years ago: I'm sure that the marvel team could re-write a GREAT Ultimate AoA, but I'd like most (as a reader) to read stories that can differentiate the 616 universe from the Ultimate one, and not just "good replicas"! :yay:

That happened a long time ago.

As soon as UM started "ultimizing" 616 stories,it got pretty lame.

Never. I think that would be a horrible idea
