Ultimate Power

Mistress Gluon said:
And Rorschach was easily an opposing view in that same breadth. Nighthawk felt the people should be in control, where Rorschach felt the people should know. So it could be easily said that killing Nighthawk was killing the idea of truth. I'll admit that in Watchmen, it was "actually killed" since it wasn't allowed to spread. But Nighthawk was killed only AFTER he was allowed to spread it.

Nighthawk and Hyperion had different views, you see Nighthawks as a truth fair enough. I see it as a view.

Both were killed for their beliefs. And both were considered truths. Except for Rorschach, because it was believed he SHOULD be killed to not spread the truth

Now you're getting it except one is a truth and the other an opposing view.

giving a mysterious "controlling the fate of mankind" deal to the others, basically putting them at the beginning of the SS's cycle of control.

Not really as they had unified mankind by presenting an external threat and not imposed a doctrine.

I have a feeling that the first issue is going to be alot of two page spreads of everyone standing together, someone says something smart, then on the last page the Squadron Supreme coming through the portal or w/e. And then Hyperion will say the government is evil and so ends the issue.

:D:(

That's fine.

They're both truths, really. Superhumans, being not of human daily nature, shouldn't have the right to rule humans. Where Rorschach believed humans SHOULD know of the atrocity, where Manhattan didn't think that. Hence, that would also be a view, since both had merit to it.

I'm pretty sure that after the humans were totally enslaved by an invading SS, they were fairly more unified. Where in both worlds, it could be guaranteed neither were fully unified.

Please, tell me, if you find more. (Being a marvel cover artist seems like the easiest job in the world.)

Therein lies the difference humanity agreed to put it's differences behind it and start working together in Watchmen after an altruistic amoral lie. In SS it was decided for them they did not agree to anything, but does that make an imposed solution wrong? The present US/UK alliance seem to feel might makes right, does that though make them wrong for imposing their value system or does it make Hyperion wrong for imposing his. In SS this is answered for you by Nighthawk in a rather shallow way leaving no opportunity to answer the deeper question of, can a dictatorship be benevolent?

haha! Greg Land is a cheat!

but his art looks nice.:(:O

in fairness the movie-cyclops pose is a standard pose. he didnt necessarily use that pic (unless thee's proof here somewhere). there are millions like it. he might... shock, horror!... not even have copied that one.

Bad... idea. Supreme Power works best as its own independent universe, not a cheap crossover gimmick.

^Its a boost for the book though, considering its smalltime compared to the ultimate stuff. thats gota be good for you fans, non?

That does not look like Kate Beckinsale. The faces are completely different.

This is the PG13 part of a nude art picture from a photo book. Can you place it in Greg Lands art?

I can:

No, I actually asked help on other forums, and they're pretty enthusiastic about the task.

That doesn't mean, that I don't have an extensive libary of naked ladies of course (only for artistic value)
