I can't even laugh at the humor. I was cracking up, every time Spidey opened his mouth in SSM. Here, the constant, not even clever gags, make me go "Uhm... really? Really?!"

That's too bad, I like the gags and charaterizations.

I pretty much put all my eggs in the film basket as that is my focus and interest. I never expect too much from animated series as they are usually kid friendly anyway. But it's been interesting to see people's reactions. I liked Spectacular very much though.

The way they displayed each character's name? Shattered Dimensions
The motorbike and Peter's reactions? Peter Parker drove a motorbike for a while during Stan Lee's run before pawning it, later their was the Spider-Mobile monstrosity and his reaction to it. BLEND

I watched the show today.
It's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's hella kiddish, it's not my kind of thing, but it wasn't bad.

It makes me miss SSM really bad, but I'll give this one a chance.

Ultimate Spider-Man is a funny over the top outrageous series that has potential . While it's not a deep story driven series like The Spectacular Spider-Man, It hits all the right marks in capturing Spidey's humor . Drake Bell does a pretty good voicing are Wall-Crawling Hero. Also I like that we'll get to see Spidey team-up with various heroes from the MCU as well as face off against some of the big villains.

• Samuel L. Jackson version Nick Fury
• Hip younger Aunt May (without the game night)
• S.H.I.E.L.D. training Spidey cause he lacks polishing
• Ben with glasses
• MJ hope of being a reporter
• MJ as Peter's childhood friend
• Osborn's hair legacy

Well I finally got around to seeing both episodes of this.....

OK so I thought the first episode was not too bad actually, it didn't come across as silly to me as I thought it would be from the clips I saw earlier.

The second episode I didn't enjoy too much, I just thought it was too over the top and didn't really find it that funny or entertaining to be honest.

But I will still give this show the benefit of the doubt and will keep watching, it took me about 3 episodes to get into SSM.
