Man...I love the look and animation of the show, but the 4th wall jokes and the random 3rd wheel villains are really killing me. I'll still watch this show, but I am really finding it doubtful that I will love it. I might not even LIKE it.

t:I'm in the same boat. I'm not really finding this show to be my cup of tea. Doesn't mean anyone else can't enjoy it. I'm happy to hear others are excited for it. There is just a lot going against it right now for me.
The animation looks great in some areas but then it reminds me of anime. I'm not the biggest fan of anime. I just don't find the style to be aesthetically pleasing. So I think that the reminded makes me hate the animation they've chosen for Ultimate Spider-Man.
I also don't like Drake Bell voicing Spider-Man. I just don't think it's a good fit. As many have said, I still plan on giving this show a try. However, I doubt I'm going to like it .
109 episodesWell, at least Batman TAS had a very satisfying run. It had like 80 episodes didn't it? Not to mention the fact that it sort of continued in the Justice League and Batman Beyond cartoons as well. Between all of them, Batman's whole story was pretty much told.
109 episodes
Well, it won’t follow the comic book exactly. The goal really is to show Spider-Man to a new audience and demonstrate to them what’s wonderful about Spider-Man and add a little twist to the story. Something obvious to anyone who’s followed Spider-Man is that there have been many many animated shows. Most of them took the same route: here’s Peter Parker’s origins, and here’s how he got his powers, and he’s got an aunt named May and he’s got Mary Jane … all those things. We decided to amp that up a little bit by giving him much more responsibility — he has that great mantra ‘with great power comes great responsibility’ – so what happens when you give him more responsibility than he’s accustomed to? We introduce him to SHIELD. While SHIELD has been in the Marvel Universe for decades, it’s become something of a character unto itself as this sort of secret spy organization because of the Marvel movies, and I think that it’s only going to get bigger as you see more Marvel movies made over the years. So Peter Parker and Spider-Man are going to be a part of SHIELD, which gives him access to really cool tech. That’s a real twist to the Spider-Man mythos. Most of the tech that you’ve seen with Spidey are his web shooters, or in the comics he was given this sort of iron spider suit by Tony Stark, but it was not something he used on a regular basis. But in the cartoons, Spider-Man will have a lot of really cool toys that he uses, as well as his new teammates.
Just...above....average?109 episodes that were all above average for the most part, imo. Man, those were the days.....
Watch past the first two episodes, sometimes 1 & 2 are ridiculously bad and the episodes following them are impressive upgradesI really want to get excited for this show...but it's getting hard.
I'll certainly watch the first and second episodes but I just don't like the idea behind it.
I like Spidey solo in his own adventures with his own villains. All the kiddish stuff isn't the way I like it, either, but I'll still give it a try.
And over 10 sidekicksSpider-man is a loner. That's actually something a lot of people don't appreciate. Consider this, most heroes have someone who knows their true identity. X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc, are all groups. Even solo heroes, like Superman, have people they can talk to. His parents. Even alleged loner Batman has Alfred.

But Spider-man is the guy who is always alone. And that's what makes him a powerful character. He does it all without any help. Lose that, and you lose a lot of what makes Spider-man Spider-man.
It's gonna be more like "Amazing Friends" Mixed with TSSM, mixed with TEEN TITANS.

And Batman had even more team-ups, was a founding member of the JLA, before that he was in the Superman/Batman team-up, allies himself with the outsiders, etcexcept for the fact that Spidey has hand numerous team-ups with other heroes in the past 50 years and is on The Avengers, and the FF teams
