lol Well, it was certainly better than the second episode, which I thought had too much going on, in terms of breaking the fourth wall, and things of that nature.

The jet-pack thing was fine..once... not 3 times...oh well. hopefully it will get better.

As long as Principal Coulson stays funny, I'll keep watching in hopes that the rest of the show will be as good as him both in humor and overall. Long live Phil, Son of Coul.

While repeating a joke is often not funny and unnecessary, in this case, I thought it was funny.

I still like It If It gets too serious the kids won't watch It and the'll take It away. I like my spiderman silly and his comedy doesnt always hit the mark isnt that what he is.. I can see both sides of the plot thing It does seem a little random (right now) but hey look at Sienfield.

Teen Titans knew that there was a time and place for the silly. Teen Titans knew how to turn off the silly. Teen Titans didn't stop a fight-scene with Slade to hold your hand and explain what is happening as it happened.

The Space Tofu episode (awesome episode) had a place. It was that occasional silly episode. The whole episode was meant to be dumb. It worked. USM isn't trying to pace itself. Its just silly all the time, even during moments where they really should just stop for a minute.

Not every show can pull it off. This show is proving that it doesn't have any clue how to work humor and action into one package. And Seinfeld even had its nuances. There is no subtly (or pacing...again) here. Its just a manic Spider-Man-meets-A-medley-of-Family-Guy-cutaways.

This show is including elements from Scott Pilgrim, Teen Titans, Batman:The Brave and The Bold and Anime cartoons, mixed with Bendis Spider-Man and Avengers, just too many things packed into one.

So, that's why we barely got any Seasons of Batman, Superman, JL/U, 90's Spider-Man and X-Men, etc. Oh, wait, no, we got plenty of Seasons of all of those.

This show is the worst version of Spider-Man I have seen…probably gonna be worse than the Spider-Man Unlimited series…yeah it’s that bad. Too cartoony for me. I agree with the Batman Brave & the Bold comparisons except that Brace & the Bold went deep into the history of Batman and was that 60′s campy Batman, this kills the history…what’s up with Aunt May being this cool hip old lady? MJ wants to be a journalist? huh? Speaking of MJ…what the heck is up with her eye brows? Kind of thick don’t you think? Picking I know, but when you hate something you see all the flaws. Spider-Man is the leader of the New Warriors/Avengers Academy? Coulson is the best part of the show…that’s pretty sad. The breaking of the 4th wall occurs too often and just doesn’t work for me. Spider-Man comes off more of the Spider-Man before Uncle Ben was killed, cocky and self centered for the most part.

That's one thing that annoys me, Parker is way to cocky, egotistical and self obsorbed in some scenes.

He's also immature and irresponsible. Since when does Spider-Man get into an arguement with another superhero and settles it by recklessly going after Doctor Doom? Brave/Bold Batman may have been cheesy, but that cheesiness actually came from a real source, since the show was based off an era of Batman stories where he acted like that. The Spider-Man we get is just made up from nothing. Spider-Man doesn't act like this.

Yeah it was bizarre when he decided to go after Doom like that. Even at one point spider-man turns to the camera and says he should stop them from going but doesn't. With great power-ah screw it

My thoughts exactly. There has to be a time for humor and for seriousness. I prefer when Spider-Man is fighting, there are no breaking the fourth wall, freezing time, etc. But I don't mind the quips, of course. Hopefully the show finds the right balance between the two. It's okay to be funny, but not every second.

We live in a world where we can let our voices heard, so lets use that. the more people tell the show runners what we hate about this show (in my case: too many jokes, complete lack of drama) the more chances we have, that they will fix it for the next season, as Paul Dini himslef said, that season 2 will be built depending on how people react to the show.

So go for it and take a stand!

I have to say, even Deadpool would be annoying, if they would make a cartoon exactly like this. Yes, Deadpool breaks the 4th wall. But there's more 4th wall breaking in one episode of USM, than multiple issues of Deadpool combined.

Lol I told dini through his twitter that this series is not as good as it should be, i told him that it lacks drama, and the breaking the 4th wall is just way too much. And i was very polite about it. I basically summed up our negative feeling about the show.

Bendis made great USM comics, boring Avengers, hardly read anything else of his work
