I'm thinking about finally picking up Ultimate Spiderman but I have some questions first.

How easy is it to unlock the symbiote suit.?
I heard that you can fight some super-villains in random crimes. Who are they, if you can?
I'm not that good a gamer really, so how hard is the story mode?

Any help will be rewarded with No-Prizes..

Q1. Very hard and lengthy.
Q2. Pretty much all of them I think.
Q3. It's basically a chase and save game the whole time.

I pretty much hated how crappy this game was compared to SM2, like almsot everyone else here that has talked about it :o:down

The fact you can fight the bosses in random crimes makes me more inclined to go out and get this, but if the story mode is as poor as SM2's then I might just leave it. I rarely had trouble with it, and i'm an alright gamer at best, and it was too short.

My biggest problem with this game is always having to chase your opponent before you can fight them. :spidey: has tracers in the comics, (or at least in the 616 universe) so how can they act like a villian got away if you don't see them for a few seconds? This only makes sense if Ultimate:spidey: doesn't have his Spider tracers.

What they did was take all the good in SM2, and threw that away. Then they took the crappy stuff, and added in mostly chase and fight missions, and tons of races that are Nigh impossible to get perfect times on.

I hope SM3 really fixes all those things and puts the original swinging system back. :down

I thought the game wasn't THAT bad. It could have been a lot better, but I don't think it is horrible.:xmen:

I have a question; Why is it the Wrestling Costume isn't available, when I have the tokens for it?

1. The symbiote suit is the last unlockable, and there fore the hardest to get
2. Shocker and Boomarang only. But they are only slightly more difficult than elite regular thugs. USM has 4-5 street gangs all of which have several grades of thugs. Grunt, normal, and elite.
3. Depends. The chase missions are annoying (because you ahve to fail so many times unti you get the route memorized), and the Green goblin one is actually hard. Carnage is a little bastard. Took me way too long to smack his ass down.

And I didn't mind the web system in USM. Once I got used to it it worked just fine.

Impossible. I have everything you need except 20 tokens and I can't beat the last Johnny Storm race. I made a thread about it a few weeks ago. He speeds up at the end when I'm winning. Like, he goes really fast.:down

Shocker and Boomerang.

Hard at first but once you do it once it's no prob to beat. It's not really really hard the first time.

Thanks for the no-prize.:p

It's good game though.

He's easy to smack down on the ground but he keeps getting back up.:p

He's hard the first few times.

I like knocking him through the air lol. He's so easy to beat now that I've done it like 20 times.

I have three levels saved on different files on a different memory card. I can play them whenever I want.:)

Cheers for the advice guys. I went out and bought it today. I'll post in here if im stuck and in need of guidance :D

Completed it already. Bought it on the Friday the Hype went down, completed it on the Sunday. I didn't find Carnage too hard actually, I beat him on my first go round. The Electro chase/fight was the one that really got me. And I was stuck on the Venom vs Beetle fight for about half an hour. But apart from that it was easy. So far i've unlocked the wrestling costume, and it'll probably take me ages to get the rest

The wrestling costume is the most pointless costume ever. Just no webs, wow big deal. Does anyone know if there's a big list that shows all of the tokens?

I LOVED everything about the game, but im a biased USM fan...

Nevermind, found em all on a gamefaqs walkthrough. You can go to Doctor Strange's house???

No, but at night the back door is a crack open and there's smoke coming out of it. There's also lights inside.

You thought SM2's fighting system was good??? It sucked horribly. Maybe USM's fighting system wasn't great, but at least they never block my punches, or kicks, or my webbing, which really ruined SM2 for me. Why can't Doc Ock block my web strand, but EVERY thug in NY dodges it like in the freaking Matrix??? I want to slap the guy in Treyarch who thought that was a good idea.

Hmmm...

1)
A) It's very hard to unlock the black costume, akin to getting 100% in SM2... get all the tokens, all the landmarks... a lot of stuff.
B) You can play as Venom in free roam when you beat the game

2) Boomerang and Shocker are joke villains in Ultimate Spidey, they are not very dangerous at all and you can whup on them pretty easily... thus, they occur in open areas relatively rarely trying to rob a bank or something.

3) The story mode is relatively easy, though there are some very difficult races with Johnny Storm involving accurate webswinging, and chases, especially of Venom and Beetle, that will prove challenging, but even a novice player can master these courses after a half dozen tries.

Note: Ultimate Spider-Man, while a MUST have for Ultimate Universe fans, is really only a B- game, and not particularly long either. I would buy it if you can get it (used) for around twenty dollars. Otherwise, especially if it's more than thirty bucks, you may feel cheated. The developers have made it clear that the publisher rushed them and they were not allowed to finish the game properly.

Doctor Strange has a house in the game?

^ Yes he does. Just go and look around near where the Trask Building is. I think it's really cool.

Yeah, it's like a short grey building and it's close to the lake.
