Can somebody tell me where they left off with uncle ben's original killer, if i recall they brought him back waay back in amazing #200 or something right? whatever happened to the guy? All this talk of sandman being uncle ben's killer is making me curious...

Before issue 200, starting from 170, a bit of an epic began. Spidey went through many battles, and got his arse handed to him more and more up to issue 200. I suggest finding the full lowdown urself on various sites and wikipedia if ur very interested. Or better yet, go and read the full story, it is a bit of a great epic.

I'll give you the quick version, (obvious spoilers:)

Around 170 I think, Ben's killer got shown finishing his time in jail, and going into the real world. As it turns out, he didn't randomly find the Parker residence, turns out he got tipped off to a secret stash of money, (or treasure, I can't remember, and I can't be arsed to root through my comic boxes for the original issues,) which lead to the death of Ben Parker. (Some of my details hear are slightly sketchy in my memory, so if anyone wants to correct me feel free.)

So now free, he goes back to the original mission. He finds the nursing home where May is, for whatever reason. He strikes a deal with the doctor who takes care of May, who as it turns out, is Mysterio in disguise. Mysterio faked his death long before, and was posing as a doctor in this nrsing home, and was embezzling funds. Together, they fake May's death.

Peter had been very sick and injured, from a previous fight with the Black Cat, and was trying to get better, when he got the news. He refused to believe it, but saw May's body, and obviously lost his mind a little, and was thinking of quitting, (again!) He then saw Robbie, who just quit because he was sick of JJ's unair portrayal of Spider-Man. This inspired Peter to get back on his feet... Going to May's home, he found it was turned up side down. Obviously something smelled fishy, he then realised, May's Doc's name was one of Mysterio's alias' back in the day, and went to find him. Along the way, he gets into hella trouble with The Kingpin and his various goons, Peter is still very sick, and his arm not working, so he gets his arse handed to him. The endin is something very cool which I will not spoil.

Around the same time, the burglar went to take of of the doc, (not knowing he was Mysterio,) seeing as the Doc served his purpose. Mysterio reveals himself, and Spidey turns up. The battle is kick ass, but Mysterio puts enough tranq in him to kill an elephant. But Spidey still wakes, (in the hospital I think, can't remember.)

It constantly builds as pursuit for Peter, and a pursuit for the 2 felons as they try and find the loot. Lots of battles, lots of twists, lots of tension. Peter keeps screwing up, out of rage and panic, but eventually in the story, composes himself , beats Mysterio in a truly heroic fashion, and get's face to face wwith Ben's killer.

He naturally ends up facing the burglar in a way not completely unlike the film, (I can't remember if he reveals his identity to the burglar, but I do remember it was REALLY massive, with Spidey really giving his all, show real passion to take down the burglar. Finally, when it gets too much, the burglar fear starts to really show, until Spidey comes face to face with him, and the burglar dies with shock of what Peter says to him.

It ends with Peter finding May, explaining to her what happened, and they find the loot. Ironically, it had been there for so many years, it got detroyed many years ago by instects and other vermin

Ben Reilly later dated his dughter, Jessica Carradine. She at 1st thought that Ben parker died by accident, with his own gun. She also thought Spider-Man was responsiblee for her Father's death. Ben Reilly revealed his identity, and she threatened to tell the world. She later saw Spider-Man's heroism, and decided to go against her earlier decision. It was never confirmed what the burglar's name was, or if his daughter's name was real or not

I honestly can't remember, I remember really enjoying it, (last time I read it was a VEEERY long time ago.) I want to say that he revealed his identity, but I know I'm being influenced from the film. It's just as likely that he just chased him for a long time and and his heart gradually gave way. From when Spider-Man 1st caught him, he felt great unease about Spidey.
