Unsolved/Unexplainable Mysteries

I belief in alien life but I don't understand why they would bother with inferior creatures like ourselves. People believe the want to trade knowlege and share our culture with them. It would be like us sharing our knowlege and culture to butterflies, or something...i heard it from a scientist who is skeptic about aliens wanting to bother with us.

just because they have the ability to traverse galaxies doesn't make them superior... well, i mean, maybe, in some respects, it does, but i'll bet there's a lot they could learn from us... and i'll bet they're just as curious about us as we would be of them.

maybe they just see how violent and stupid we are, and choose to view us from afar? but every once in a while, their cloaking devise goes south, and we can see them and catch them on camera?

although, personally, i think all these "ufo's" are just humans from the distant future... and that's why they apparently look slightly humanoid. but, that's just me.

"The Hands Resist Him "the painting carried some form of curse. Their eBay description claimed that the characters in the painting moved during the night, and that they would sometimes leave the painting and enter the room in which it was being displayed.

cool painting though.

That painting is just creepy as all hell.

One story comes to mind that I just read about a week ago. The story came from somewhere in South America. Two men were found on a hill, they died after their hearts simply stopped beating. The odd part is that the only thing in their possession was a paper with Ohm's equations on them. It got stranger when the police investigated the mens homes and found various papers written by the men. The men for some reason were trying to connect some sort of "spiritual force" with ohm's laws or something.

It was something to that effect, if I can remember the name of the incident or the website I'll post it. It would definitely intrigue me though if there were actual records of this incident.

wow creepy ass storiessss. Here's one that's interested me for a while

I've also heard that when military personnel entered the destroyer they realized most, if not all of the crew members became fused into the ship :wow:

I saw that on "unsolved mysteries" years ago. Saw shipmates fused to the hull and walls of the ship, people appearing then disappearing scary shyte:wow:

WHERE THE HELL IS D.B COOPER?

Tara Leigh Calico

Tara Leigh Calico (born February 18, 1969) disappeared near her home in Belen, New Mexico on September 20, 1988. Her case, believed to be a kidnapping, received extensive coverage on A Current Affair , Unsolved Mysteries, and America's Most Wanted. It was also profiled on The Oprah Winfrey Show and 48 Hours.

The Unsolved Mysteries segment on Tara's disappearance is available for viewing on You Tube.

Disappearance

On September 20, 1988 Tara left her home at about 9:30 in the morning to go on her customary bike ride. She told her mother, Patty Doel, to come and get her if she wasn't home by noon. Patty went searching for Tara along her usual bike route but could not find her and contacted the police. Part of her Sony Walkman and a Boston cassette tape were discovered along the route and Patty believed that Tara may have left these items in an attempt to mark her trail. Several people saw Tara riding her bicycle, which has also never been found. No one witnessed her presumed abduction, although several witnesses did observe a 1953 or 1954 Ford pickup following her, but it is not known if this vehicle was connected to her disappearance. All efforts to locate the pickup have failed.

The photograph

On June 15, 1989, a Polaroid photo of an unidentified young girl and boy, both bound and gagged, was found in the parking lot of a convenience store in Port St. Joe, Florida. It was theorized that the girl in the photo was Tara and that the boy was Michael Henley, also of New Mexico, who had disappeared in April 1988. According to investigators the picture had to have been taken after May 1989 because the particular film used in the photograph was not available until then. Despite much conjecture, the identification of the boy in the photograph as Michael Henley seems unlikely because his remains were discovered in 1990 in the Zuni Mountains where he had disappeared. (Foul play is not suspected in his death). The Zuni mountains are about 75 miles from where Tara disappeared. Nonetheless, her mother believed the girl in the photo was indeed her daughter due in part to what appeared to be a scar on the girl's leg similar to one Tara received in a car accident. However, the FBI was unable to conclusively prove that it was Tara in the photograph.

Two other Polaroid photographs, possibly of Tara, have surfaced over the years, but they have yet to be released to the public.

There were several reported sightings of her in 1988 and 1989, mostly in the southern half of the U.S. However, none of these sightings could be confirmed.

Tara's disappearance remains unsolved. Patty Doel died in May 2006 due to a complications from a series of strokes. She had been in poor health for several years prior to her death.

Tara's biological father, David Calico, died of a heart attack in 2002.

Tara Leigh Calico would today be 39 years old.

Slow Down

Slow Down was a sound recorded on May 19, 1997 in the Equatorial Pacific ocean by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The source of the sound remains unknown.

Analysis

The name was given because the sound slowly decreases in frequency over about 7 minutes. The sound was detected at 15° S 115° W. It was recorded using an autonomous hydrophone array.

Yeah, it made me feel sorry for them, especially as they're probably dead. I don't even know how the polaroid made its way on the internet.

And that haunted painting scares me in ways you can't even imagine. :o

I saw it years ago in the middle of the night; there is something perpetually eerily creepy about those distorted changing faces and the painting itself. Won't stop me showing it to people. :D

Keep these stories coming. Keeping me occupied for ages, particularly the Dyatlov Pass incident.

Those kinds of stories make me afraid to go anywhere by myself. And there's really no end to the number of kids who just disappear... Guh. That picture gives me the chills.

Dude...they treat us exactly as we treat lesser life forms.
Haven't you ever watched PBS.

There are some monkeys, the scientist shoots one with a tranquilizer dart, the team retrieves the monkey's body, they implant an electrode, or put on a GPS collar, using technology the monkey could never understand, to study his habits, track his movement, monitor his mating...the monkey wakes up, in the middle of his jungle home, with no idea what happened.

If they knew about us, they would definitely want to study us, but to avoid detection, so as not to artificially alter our society/development...just as we do with lesser life forms.

Well yeah that makes sense but i was talking about the people who believe in the Majestic 12 consipiracy theory, where they said that the government and the greys mad a little deal, saying that the government exchanged us for some or their technilogical secrets.

Also the stupid theory that the aliens are controlliing our world leaders so that they [the aliens] can inslave us.

Unsolved Mysteries was a good program. Robert Stack made a great host.

Also the stupid theory that the aliens are controlliing our world leaders so that they [the aliens] can inslave us.

Trust me, if they wanted to enslave humans they would have done so already.
