My brother and I have made a music video which needs to be uploaded on to Youtube to enter a competition.

The video was animated using Macromedia Director MX on an Apple Mac. We've saved the video as a Quicktime file and we're having trouble uploading the file on to the website.

Does anyone have any tips regarding how the file should be saved before uploading, or any other knowledge which could help us out?

I would think a QT file would be way to big to upload, there is a file limit of what can go on so try saving it as a diffrent file type to reduce the size of it.

Thanks black_dust, do you know how I could convert the file to something else instead of QT?

Not with Dir MX no, i did have that at one point for my editing but i found it wasn`t very good, so i use Adobe Premire Pro now, good stuff! :) (in your case final cut would be better :p)

sorry

Quicktime and Youtube don't blend too well anyway, QT files get a sound lag on that site for some reason.
