I was wondering if there are any heroes in the DCU that have been stated to be vegetarian, if anyone knows please answer.

You would think Poison Ivy would only eat meat, since she loves plants so damn much.

Superman is vegetarian? He eats meat all the damn time.

Connor Hawke and Wonder Woman are both vegetarian.

DGrayson, this certainly is a random-ass thread topic. I'm wondering what train of thought led to this question.

I'd imagine Vixen would stick to greens.

In Morrison's run, animal man made a point of becoming vegatarian and his wife got pissed when he threw away the meat from the groceries.

Wasn't there a panel in the first issue of the up up and away arc that showed clakr eating a hot dog???

Yes, he always eats hot dogs. Thats the first thing he did when he came back from the dead.

Which is another reason why Birthright didn't need to happen.

Does Martian Manhunter eat anything other than Oreos?

Maybe he got too tempted and returned to his carnivorous habits after Birthright? "I'm invulnerable to everything except PORK."

Well, it's not exactly kosher.

I'm sure Wonderwoman turned to veggies after the piggie incident from JLU.

Pretty sure Martian Manhunter is vegetarian.

Superman being made into a vegetarian in Birthright is hilarious, considering that Beef Bourguignon (or whatever that dish is called) has actually been called out on many occasions over the years as being Clark's favorite food, as well as being a relatively big plotpoint (considering it's a food) in the "'Til Death Do Us Part" story, as it was the password between Lois and Clark to let each other know if one of them was ever being impersonated.

There is nothing to say that he couldn't have taken up vegetarianism for a few years while younger, a lot of people go through a vege stage at one point in their lives.

given the current editorial mandates of DC, half the DCU will be vegan by this time next year.

I never have, nor will I ever.

Animal Man kind of made me vegetarian, as odd as that sounds. I guess it was just the first place that raised the issues for me. I mean I'm not a vege I eat meat all the time but I actively reduced the amount of meat I eat and I'm more bothered about the conditions from where it came from.

You're only suppossed to eat as much meat as the size of your fist or something, per day.

Americans eat WAAAAAY more than that. And still, somehow they're not a superrace.

I try to eat as less pork as possible.
1.Because pigs are treated like **** during there short lives, I feel sorry for them.
2. Because it's the worst meat you can eat.
