Against Spider-Man I'd have to say that Venom poses a greater threat. He's stronger, he knows Peter's strengths and weakness', and he doesn't set off Spider-Man's spider sense so he can take him by complete surprise. But Spider-Man can still triumph over him.
Against Doc Ock Venom would probably have trouble with Doc's tentacles but he can easily overpower them and since Doc doesn't have any natural strength, Venom can aim for his body and do great damage.
I will now await to see someone try to disprove what I said and will probably be told that I "fail" or "don't belong on SHH!".
lol yeaSince I can't take Ock out by banging two trashcan lids together, I vote for Ock.
LOL newbs.Doc Ock's so stupid!!!!!11!! Venom would beatseds on himz all teh way!!!1
You make a good point, Doc Ock is intelligent but you almost make it seem like Venom is of lower intelligence (like Rhino).Seriously, Doc Ock would be smart enough to defeat Venom. He's not like the Rhino or something.

Actually GG1964 has been here for a very long time. He just had to restart his account.I hope you aren't refering to me as a newb, I came here one month before you.t: And saying Venom is better than Doc Ock doesn't make me some silly newb who thinks Dock Ock is teh gayness and Venom rules FTW!!!
I love Venom, but his original comic version, was not the smartest guy in the world. You make a good point, Doc Ock is intelligent but you almost make it seem like Venom is of lower intelligence (like Rhino).
I know that, but I'm just saying his brains aren't on par with Ock's or Goblin's, or Peter's, which means he can't use mind power to beat guys like that; usually. He wasn't exactly the dumbest guy, either. He was a journalist, you know.

I've always wondered something. If the symbiote transfered all of Peter's memories to Eddie, shouldn't that of included all of his scientific knowledge?I see, of course. Otto and Norman are scientists, they may be madman but their scientific genius remain intact.
He was a PISS-POOR journalist as I recall. He wasn't exactly the dumbest guy, either. He was a journalist, you know.

Great post Arcturus. No, he wasn't, not until the Sin-Eater incident. First you have to have a degree in journalism, English and/or communications. Naturally he chose newspaper journalism, and you have to have a good nose for news. I shall post a quote from Eddie Brock/Venom, The Amazing Spider-Man #300.
"My column in the Daily Globe was read by millions! I was a solid reporter, a respected member of the fourth estate!"
So, to clarify, he wasn't a PISS-POOR journalist his entire career. If he was a crappy journalist, then he wouldn't have been respected. He was a good journalist. But until he made a bad judgment call, then things went wrong. He became a "laughing stock" and was disgraced, and finally, he was canned. Then went to write garbage such a celebrity gossip and other nonsense. Humans make mistakes, all the time. BUT, Eddie Brock blames Spider-Man/Peter Parker. He blames everyone but himself. He is a rotten person. That cannot be denied.
