But don't worry everyone, all of the vfx work will be done in China soon.

If you love to draw, paint, CG model don't worry you all will be able to do it in a Chinese sweat shop, the dream is still alive people!!!

VFX artists are making $12 an hour in Vancouver, now more than the minimum wage in Seattle!

It's been a recent development, but the US dollar has strengthened, to the point where it's 20% cheaper ($1 USD = $1.20 CAD). Wouldn't be surprised to see a surge of Canada-based productions firm up in the next few months, both filming and VFX-wise.
