VHS to DVD converter

ok im trying to get all my old home video vhs and make them into a dvd

so ive been looking around to see some converters and i found this

from what ive read in the comments thats its a waste of money

yeah man...i did this for all my home movies (well of me as a baby and stuff)
i tried alot of things...easiest was when i just bought the vhs/dvd recorder thing
it was about 90 for me

well ive had the magnavox dvd recorder/vcr combo for about a year and ive had no problems...but a small amount of people have supposedly on the amazon reviews...so buy at own risk...but i got this and ive used it and it works pretty good for me. (wow...its kinda cheap refurbished)
