Videodrome remake

How can they modernize it? It's called 'Videodrome'. As in VHS and BETA tapes. You know, video? And plus the movie was made as a reaction to the introduction of videotapes and cable television going mainstream and it's efects on the general public. Cronenberg has stated several times that Videodrome is a movie made for 'a sign of the times'. What it's going to be called? Netdrome? DVDdrome? USBdrome?

But Cronenberg is allowed to do remakes himself? Thats a bit unfair...

He remade a terrible cheesy 1950's movie into something completely different. VideoDrome doesn't suck, thus it shouldn't be remade.
