i want to vote, but i can't in good conscience. i've seen all but 1 of those movies (Moon) and from what i've heard, it's story is something to behold. unfortunately, i have no desire to see it in theaters. however, if i had to vote out of the movies i HAVE seen...it would easily goto Avatar. ST09 in 2nd place, District 9 in a close 3rd. GI Joe and TF2 are jokes.

District 9 9/10
Moon 9/10
Avatar 8/10
Star Trek 8/10
Terminatior 7/10
G.I Joe 6/10
Transformers 3/10

Like the way you think Dorky Fresh.. And I agree, I ned to see D9. Everyone keeps talking about it so highly. ;)

Moon.

Moon moon moon. Moon, moon moon moon moon moon, moon moon moon moon. Moon moon. Moon moon, moon moon moon. Moon moon moon moon moon.

Moon.

Lol Keyser, I dont think its that people dont love it.. No one has seen it is the problem guy. :(... I will check it out at the theater if I see it showing anywhere though.

District 9 gets my vote over Avatar, just because I felt that the picture it paints is a more honest one than Avatar's. Whereas Avatar made us feel sorry for the Na'vi by depicting them as being beautiful and spiritually superior to their persecutors, District 9 managed to make us feel empathy for a bunch of ugly thugs who are essentially mooching off of the humans. District 9 made an effective statement that we need to respect people's right to live, even if their worth to society is difficult to quantify. I doubt even the Na'vi would think very highly of the "prawns" at a first glance.

I'm going with D9.

Avatar was shallow pop entertainment with bland characters, Moon was solid but far from great. Sam Rockwell was brillaint in it though.

Star Trek was good, it had a great cast and it was tons of fun but the messy script hindered it a bit.

1. D9 8.5/10
2.Star Trek 8/10
3. Moon 7.5/10
4. Avatar 6.5/10
5. Terminator Salvation 6/10
6. GI JOE 5.5/10
7. Transformers 2 0.5/10
