well there seems to be no sequel forum even though there will be one

:yay:

Seems like its moving ahead, glad McAvoy and Bekmembatov are back, hope they cut the stupid bits out of this movie, like thousands dying on the train just so Wesley could get his so called 'revenge.'

they're killers... people die lol

But they are meant to be killers who try and do the right thing, 100's of people dying just so Wesley can assasinate one guy makes him a mass murderer, and a very unlikable person.

This is getting a sequel? I really wasn't that impressed by the first one

I still love McAvoy though

well they thought his father was threatening the whole fraternity... and if the fraternity no longer exists even more will die.
so yea, its worth a small train.lol

i cant even imagine what timur would do now that he has an actuall summer blockbuster budget:wow:

Yeah, I wasn't really feelin' the first one. It was good for entertainment value, but quality-wise it was pretty bad. It had some good eye candy though...Jolie and McAvoy

I liked the movie except for "The Loom of Fate" I thought that was real stupid. I can take bending and clashing bullets but taking a Loom's orders was terrible.
I want them to do something where somebody says "Do you really took orders from a f***ing loom?"

you probably would of liked him even less if it was like the comics lol

for people who read comic books... this is not too crazy compared to other wierd ass comic book myth..:oldrazz::whatever:

Yeah. But you're forgetting one key part of that 'weird ass comic book myth'.... it's usually interesting enough to allow for a huge suspension of disbelief.

A bunch of people taking orders from a loom though... is ****ing ******ed.

One or two dying, yeah, the whole train? Sorry, he was more of a villain than any of them after that.

you probably would of liked him even less if it was like the comics lol

The comic didnt really interest me enough to read it to be honest.

The movie Wanted was just rubbish why would they make a second movie? Wait 10 or 15 years and reboot it and do it right! Read the comics before you write a script next time.

The movie Wanted was just rubbish why would they make a second movie?

because everyone loved it :cwink:
even critics which is insane for a movie like that...

it was also one of the underdog movies of that summer.. with a budget of 75mil... and it made more than triple that back.

Umm...in the comic he said he ****ed, raped, and killed a female celebrity he liked. All of them were a bunch of sadist/rapist assassins. There was no moral code or conduct; it was all askewed and ambiguous.

Maybe so but the point is it still means that not everyone likes the movie. Everyone I've spoke hated it, and by that I do mean everyone.

not everyone will like every movie....

in this case... the majority of the people that saw it. loved it.

HOLY CRAP wanted2 = 150$mil budget + angelina jolie is back!
Russian newsite RIA Novosti had a chance to talk to that country's biggest filmmaker Timur Bekmabetov recently, and he told them that he has started preparations on making the sequel to the 2008 summer hit Wanted and that they've found a way to bring Angelina Jolie's character back.

Talking about the tentatively-titled Wanted 2, Bekmambetov told them, "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."

Besides Jolie's character, Fox, Bekmambetov hopes to bring back the character played by Kostya Khabenskiy, who also starred in Bekmambetov's breakout films Night Watch and Day Watch, as well as introducing new characters. The sequel reportedly has a $150 million budget, which is the biggest Hollywood production made by a Russian filmmaker, and Bekmambetov will once again have Russian crew involved in all aspects of production.

(Thanks to the English language site Russian InfoCentre for the translation.)

if timur can do these crazy movies with such a tiny budget imagine 150mil!!
this will be siiick!

I am definitely looking forward to...Wanted 2 as I found the first to be a highly entertaining action film.

Bring on the sequel.. and please give wesley the suit like in Weapons of Fate.

I loved the first one even though it wasnt true to the comic... i cant wait for the sequel

Interesting to see that news item on the fiont page about Wanted 2 and Jolie returning.

The source is stated as Russian InfoCentre, for which the link is here

That site says its source is Ria Novosti, which is here.

When you click on that Russian news site, you can choose a language (including English) and I cannot find any mention of this story on Wanted 2 and Jolie returning at all.

Can anyone else see the original story?:huh:
