These type of movies don't exactly do well at all. Im no fan of WoW so I doubt I will see it at all. I guess they can have some guy occasionally walk across screen asking you to buy plat from platshop.com![]()
I think the comparison between Warcraft and other video game movies aren't accurate. See, the Warcraft series is a fully developed universe with its own unique history, mythology and cultures. A better comparison would be with the D&D franchise. And while the latter's movie didn't do too well, it is well accepted as having had a great potential and failed due to production blunders rather than the franchise's unsuitability. The same goes for Warcraft; it has a great potential which it can fulfill if guided properly but is at risk of easily getting off track.
Sounds terrible. The Warcraft universe is just a patchwork of Warhammer and D&D fantasy staples, with a few throwbacks to Tolkein. Just plain ain't enough to sustain a decent plot. This is going to embarras alot of Warcraft fans.
This movie will be slightly better than In the Name of the King.
how was that? I have the day off on monday and I was thinking of going to see a movie. Is it worth going to see for free?
Meh... I`m not sure if it will work but, it could as like a Lord of the Rings inspired film which could turn out well as long as they are able to please both fans of the World of Warcraft legacy and the audience who know nothing about World of Warcraft; with this in mind, they can not confuse the general audience with confusing plotlines, etc. I really do hope this film succeeds because the game was creative and original and has a great amount of fan-support already thanks to the massive online media surrounding the video game.I know its a bit early for this but what are every expectations on the upcoming Warcraft Movie? What would you guys like to see? Any casting ideas etc.

Well, there are always bootlegs for those guys to enjoy if they can't bare to take their eyes off of the screen then that's their only opinion; of course they'd have to minimize it so they can continue to play WoW.If they do this up like 'Lord of the Rings,' and do a trilogy, then we could see a couple billion dollar movies.
Of course, the WoW players would have to actually get up and leave their computers to go and see it. That could be a problem.
