I don't think this board contains any collectors insanely serious about collecting, but if any of you ever considered it (as I did the other day, and inquired about only to find out this tidbit) NEVER PUT YOUR COMICBOOKS IN A FIREPROOF SAFE

turns out the designs for fireproof safes cause rapid rusting of the staples and several collectors have been victimized and the connection was only discovered last year

An interesting little tidbit, and a nice warning if any of you ever thought about using one

Best thing to do is take the most expensives ones to a bank and rent a safe

Awesome, I was thinking of buying one of these for all my important documents, and was planning to put my Wonder Woman #1 in there.

Dude...you scared the sh#t out of me!The second I read your post I ran to my basement to check my copys of Journey into Mystery 97,Amazing Fantasy 15,X-men 1,Avengers 1,Showcase 4,The Brave and The Bold 28 and Giant size X-men 1 from my safe. But every thing was just like I left them.A few years back I bought one of those air removing machines that cam with a few air tight bags that you see on late night infomercials. It must be what saved my stuff.I thank you for your warning ether way.
