Owned by Marvel, around 1987. On youtube I found this parade video and between 1:23 and 1:30 the guy who pops out looks a lot like robocop?

also, the Robocop animated series of the '80s was produced by Marvel Productions Ltd., the same animation studio responsible for Spider-man and his Amazing Friends.

my god that sucked. especially since it probably cost a lot to produce. somewhere i have the first issue of Marvel Action Universe - which featured SpiderMan and his amazing friends (firestar and iceman) albeit several years after the cartoon was cancelled - and Robocop was one of the features.

anyone know what the music was in that clip? it is really familiar but i just couldn't place it.

and - as an aside - Willard Scott was the original Ronald McDonald. It started as a local commercial for Washington DC area Mcdonalds.

That was the Back to the Future theme in the first one. I'm glad Spidey was there in '89 at least. My favorite part was The White Queen's ... um, silver streamers? Great!
