That's funny most poeple think that the CG digi double sucked! Even people in the CG industry were unimpressed.
Yea I was dissapointed, but hey I have Bats vs Superman to look forward to. Heres hoping they stick with Bale, and maybe cast someone else for Supes
A love story for the plot. No problem, but I thought it stunk. No chemistry between actors, crap story, crap dialogue.Sarcasm said:But Superman is a love story at the core centered around Kal/Clark's love for Lois....it's also a story about searchin for acceptance and devotion to family. I don't understand why this is hard to grasp or accept. Batman is a story about loss and revenge. Spiderman is a story about responsibility. XMEN is a story about overcoming obstacles and being left out because you're different. Hulk is a story about controlling inner demons and rage.
Despite the core story behind Superman he still whoops more ass than all others. In SR Superman performed almost every superfeat he's capable of.....not all, but almost all. In the next film it'll more action, more intensity, more "Superman", but at the core will be the love story.
Most of it still had to do with the rotation of the head, which is a nitpick I've always had. It was still just a takeoff on Ringwood's original design, but the head turned a little bit more. During the "making of" I watched panned out shots of one of the fights and it didn't look any more mobile to me than the other batsuits. I thought the suit looked cool, but it still didn't allow them to showcase what Bats can really move like. I love BB, though, so I don't even know why I'm b******g about this. Sorry, man.ChrisBaleBatman said:Dude.....the Batsuit was mobile. How do you explain that kick he gave the ninja, and the elbow block he did?

I completely agree. I didn't get a sense of that in SR at all. Don't get me wrong, there were some parts of SR that I loved, but as a whole, it didn't gel together for me. And yes, I was fairly disappointed at the parts that didn't come together.WormyT said:Personally I think of Superman as a story of an Alien immigrant. Raised on our ideals, but unable to fit in. I guess you could fit that to be part of the "love" story theme.
) Most of the flying scenes in SR took place at dusk, and those were beautifully well-rendered. Some of the flying during the plane rescue looked very fake to me. I'm not exactly sure why - I think that the lighting between the subject (Supes) and the sky still needs some work. And for those of you who complained about the darkness, I think that was a logistical as well as a stylistic choice, since CG is exponentially more difficult to do with day scenes. In the BB special features, when they put up a real shot of Bale walking around in the suit next to a shot of a digital double, I could not tell the difference. The fact of the matter is, if you want real-looking CG people at this point in time, you have to have it take place in darkness.gimmen64 said:After watching 2,3 and 4. I have to disagree. I have to say the SR was up there with STM in my book.

give me a minute, I'll draw an illustration for you quickly in ms paint.
ok here, this is what I want to see.
forgive the crappyness. it's just a quick sketch. It'll be in slow motion so we can savor the moment.![]()
Kingdom Come.Lobster Charlie said:Worth the 20 year wait? Absolutely not. What I've learned about live-action Superman adaptations in the last 20 years is---NOBODY seems to quite "get it" yet.
The closest "live action" Superman I've really enjoyed in the recent years are the comics done by Alex Ross. Kingdom Come and Peace On Earth are as close to true live-action Superman adapation as we've got!

Now THERES a superhero epic. Absolutely incredible story and art.
The last issue blew me AWAY. I was reading it in a cafe back in the summer of 1996. It was like the whole world around me had stopped while I was reading. My eyes were bulging out of my head. Alex Ross GETS Superman.
And it didn't cost $200million to make.
Anyone whos a Superman fan and doesn't own this...buy it today!
"it was to hide the mobility of the bat-suit"WHAT THE **** ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT you stupid ******,the bat-suit had excellent mobility,if you want fight scenes go watch a jackie chan movie or "superman returns"KaptainKrypton said:Is this a fake account? Seriously. I have a hard time believing that someone could actually write something this retarted unless they were doing it on purpose. First off, learn to communicate in at least a semi-intelligible manner. Second, it wasn't to show how lethal Batman can be, and I've heard that before. It was to hide the mobility of the Bat-suit. Flame away. I'm anxious to hear your wonderous thoughts on the subject.![]()

Thank you for clearing that up. My eyes are now open. I will now go shoot myself.
Of courseSarcasm said:Fortunately for me only my opinion matters. So, if Singer makes another Superman film like SR then I'm gonna be just fine.......the rest of you may be $hit outta luck, but again that really doesn't effect me LOL!!!
