Superman Returns Was Superman Returns worth the 20 year wait?

Well, in BATMAN BEGINS....Bruce Wayne was a huge part of the film, the main part actually. The ending is where BATMAN truly begins, actually. Especially with how things went down between him and Rachel, its like....now he's completley shrouded in this darkness.

I might do a commentary edit, like mystery science theater, for experimental purposes some day. Last night I had this dream, and all of returns was an episode of superfriends. Seriously. It even had a narrator saying "Meanwhile, back at the fortress of solitude" and then superman flies in and lands at the fortress to see his crystals or gone.

while I didn't hate Superman Returns, honestly, I was expecting more than a homage. I don't know..the way I felt about SR was the way I felt about the Hulk: An admired failure.

Was Superman Returns worth the 20 year wait. My answer, sadly is no. It's not a bad movie but I didn't like the plot and some of the weak character arcs.

F no. This movie was a disappointment. 20 year wait and we get this. Singer and his Lackeys ruined it.

SR will be forgotten in time. thats the problem with it. it has no legs, it wont be like the original film, which is still regarded as one of the best if not the best superhero flick ever.
SR will be in the same bracket as Batman forever. filed under one of the many just average superflicks.
its not good enough for a superman returning motion picture.
poor supes stood no chance with the terrible story archs, flaws and singers donner homages.
