I just realized a bunch of theSumofGod's threads have been deleted in the purge.![]()
We never landed on the moon.
Just like Captain America never died, Alexandria, Egypt isn't named after Alexander the Great, and William the Conqueror didn't win the Battle of Hastings.
We should go back, just to prove that we have been there.
I know it can, and it should be done again. We should see if we can get there faster than last time. Or we should have a race with China to the moon. That would be fun.It can be done.
Not saying we never went to the moon cuase I believed we did. But for us to go so long ago, by now we should have advanced further. You know, like a space station, a moon colony.....stuff like that.
When we went to the moon, it was at the peak of the world's military/industrial power. The economic recessions and social problems of the late 70s and 80s weren't exactly conductive to more lunar missions. Not saying we never went to the moon cuase I believed we did. But for us to go so long ago, by now we should have advanced further. You know, like a space station, a moon colony.....stuff like that.

Yes i think the Americans went into space..but they were not the first. The Russians was,but i think we are not being told the full story about the moon missions.
I think these rumors are leaked thoughts that the Americans might have encountered Aliens or artificial structres on the moon..and this was covered up.
imo back than it would have caust wayyyyy to much money to reaserch and develop the technology they needed for their moon landing missions, the cheapest way to land on the moon would be that they did stage one or a few of the landings.
the evidance points more to it being faked.
exactly how much does a moon landing caust since you must have checked the price tag. Dude seriously there are documentaries by outside parties (not funded by the government) that tackle each aspect of the moon landing in question and show that any "proof" of its fakeness is actually unfounded.
"Some conspiracy theorists still insist that the Apollo moon landings were a hoax. These accusations flourish in part because predictions by enthusiasts that Moon landings would become commonplace have not yet come to pass. Many scientists, technicians, and space enthusiasts have commented on these accusations and rejected them as baseless. Such claims can also be empirically discredited by three retroreflector arrays left on the Moon by Apollo 11, 14 and 15. Today anyone on Earth with an appropriate laser and telescope system may bounce laser beams off of these devices, verifying deployment of the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment at historically documented Apollo moon landing sites"

Seriously, this needs to end at some point, I know that our government shouldnt always be trusted, and I wouldnt put it below them to cover up a conspiracy, but this is just perpetuation of an outdated myth and it really takes away from what Nasa overcame and accoplished![]()
Where was this shown? Ya know, they probably had vacuums available in some laboratories back then that could eliminate air resistance in a controlled area, causing a similar effect.there's no air on the moon. no air = no resistance. feathers don't "float" because they're lighter than a hammer...they float because air/wind can influence a feather much more than it can a hammer...

That money wasn't really that hard to come by at all. Nasa easily had that type of money even back then because that was when their funding was through the roof. Our government actually supported NASA unlike now, and beating Russia was one of our top priorities. That money really isn't that much to a government our size even back then.i did a price check a few days ago and it coast nasa a good 2-3 billion for the apollo 11 mission, and in total the 9 manned missions caust 16 billion.
that kind of money back than was prettty hard to come buy, possible to obtain but im not so sure.
and you put out a good point, but im still skeptical on if its staged or not.
i can't believe there are people who still think that we never went...

Well we are going back to the moon by 2020 to establish a permanent camp there... I think thats a good start. If we can survive there without a constant rehash of supplies we can up the ante and go to mars by 2030 ish or 2040 ish. Hopefully establish a permanent base there by 2050... but if we keep prolonging our space program we are going to be in serious trouble by 2050 if we remain at this rate... too bad we will all be old and gray just like our grandparents by the time this really gets started
I belived it was staged. When the flag is on the mood it's waving......Um...yeah that pretty much sums it up there.
http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/news/2001/news-moonlanding.asp said:When the astronauts planted the flagpole they twisted it back and forth to sink it into the lunar soil. On the Earth, that would have made the flag "wave" for a few seconds, then stop. But that's because the flag pushes against air as it flaps, and the air slows it down. On the Moon, there was no air to stop the flag's motion, so it continued, just as Newton's First Law of physics says it should. So of course the cloth flag waved and rippled beneath the metal rod holding it out.
