I came across a bit of comingsoon.com site info on them bringing The Justice League to a live version setting. Combining all of DC comic super heros. Martian the Man Hunter, Batman, Superman Wonder Women. Aqaman, The Flash and the Green Lantern. I like this pairing if they were to do it not to complicated.

I am saying its about time for this to happen. For them to do this movie. It would rap up alot of heros into one set of movies. Also it could be a very big set of films.
Who will star as the key heros is unknown at this time and WB still plans to do the Batman v/s Superman project and Wonder Women is not shelved its kinds postponed. It is possible the scrap all for JLA but i doubt it. Likely they will progress these films in order do to the rejuvenated success of Batman. I think without these ankor films A Justice League can be done anyway but you know DC needs to get successful comic films and who knows when this will be green lit.

The info i got should be on well SHH for it was comic book news on Comingsoon.com

Never heard anything about it, but I'm sure this idea won't work.

WB Eyeing Justice League Movie
Source: Variety February 23, 2007

Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to make a feature based on super team the Justice League of America, hiring writing duo Kiernan and Michele Mulroney to write the script, reports Variety. It's the first major action the studio has taken on the project.

The feature film is bound to include some combination of DC's most iconic superheroes, although the studio wouldn't confirm which ones they might be. It's unlikely that the studio and DC Comics, a division of Warner, would opt to feature second-tier characters.

Since its inception in 1960, JLA has featured almost every major hero in the DC Comics universe, although the core team has largely remained the same: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter.

The heroes typically band together to fight alien menaces or groups of supervillains.

"The Justice League of America has been a perennial favorite for generations of fans, and we believe their appeal to film audiences will be as strong and diverse as the characters themselves," Warner president of production Jeff Robinov said in announcing the hiring of the Mulroneys.

The trade says that in taking on the ambitious project, Warner faces several conundrums.

Now that the Batman and Superman film franchises have been revived, does the studio go after Christian Bale (Batman Begins) and Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) to star in a Justice League pic? The studio is also trying hard to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen.

To a large degree, casting will depend upon the story arc for the JLA feature and at what point in the superheroes' lives the plot takes place.

I agree with you. To many superheros for a movie of two-two and a half hours.
Were there too many X-Men?

I think it could be done.

^^^

X-Men were group of mutants, while JLA is group of superheroes-alone persons.

There is difference.

I don't see how it's really that different.

You have a group of heroes, and a couple of them get more spotlight than the others. This would be Bats, Supes, and Wonder Woman. (in X-Men, it was Cyclops, Wolverine, and Jean. Well maybe Xavier over Cyclops)

So as long as they don't have a ton of villains (like the Legion of Doom or something) I think it could work.

this would be interesting to see. i'm always up for more superhero tv or movies.

The movie would have to have its own timeline. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Batman, in his second or third year of crimefighting, to be in a group with Superman who has been at it for awhile now. And who knows when the Wonder Woman or Flash movies will be set. Or made, for that matter.

It's still a little bit different.

Our heroes of Justice League are far more known than their Marvel counterparts, who only came to 'exist' in the mainstream - key word - after the release of the first X-Men.

Plus, our heroes' stature, status, ideology, symbolism and so forth is far 'bigger' and more distinguished (read: too individual only in terms that they have all toplined their own dramas whether it be a series or film) than what a film of two hours plus can contain.

It's not totally impossible but it may be a little messy, and logistics is just one of them.

But if WB is considering it, well I suppose they have to do a good job of ironing out all those wrinkles.

dumb, especially with only two characters developed on film

This would be impossible to pull off imo. Especially if they're thinking about including Superman and Batman - are they gonna go with Bale and Routh? I actually think it might work better without Superman and Batman as they're too big and recognisable now, with their own franchises. If they had Flash/Wonderwoman as the lead character it migh work. I reckon they'd have to go with more of a FF feel though. It couldn't be as serious as the X-Men movies or Batman Begins.

Going with the JLA Year One storyline by Mark Waid would be there best bet, bring Batman and Superman in on the second film, that way it gives the audience a chance to connect with the lesser known superheros.

If you keep it to lets say 5 heroes to start off with like Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Women and The Flash it will do fine. I'd leave off Jon Jones Martian The Manhunter And Aquman right now.

But you know who would rather see and Avengers live action film. They have more characters except for Thor and Captain America out. I personally would rather see Batman and Superman duke it out first then do the Justice League as a set up for after they settle there conflict in Batman v/s Superman.

I think personally that it would be easier to do a Avengers then A Justice League with Iron Man and Thor coming out around the pike. But I don't think it would be as interesting a movie for comci fans of DC without Batman and Superman. I say do Wonder Women, Green Lantern and The Flash films first then after Batman Versue Superman. Then do Justice League. I love to see it done but DC should give the characters there own movie unless J/L is a set up for spin offs for the other members.

You people are so negative. If they got the right people involved we could get a great film. Think positive for once in your life.

they are not including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash. They have their own movies. Any JLA movie will use secound tier characters like Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, one of the Green Laterns, Black Canary and so on.

If it actually comes off the ground...it could be EPIC.

But seriously, I doubt it'll happen. It will most likely go the route of the dropped Batman vs. Superman movie.

There's just too many things that have to happen for this to work. Financailly, it may cost alot, acquiring the rights to certain characters (i'm assuming that the WB wouldn't want this around the same time of the current Batman and Superman franchises) Not to mention the story...that script will be a b**** to write, considering they must include all 7 CORE members (barring Supes, Bats and maybe Diana, everyone else will need an introduction) PLUS a legion of villians, supporting characters, etc.

Plus...I don't know about Routh but I'm not sure if Bale would be up for something like this...he just doesnt' seem the type. Part of the reason he signed up for Batman was because of the realistic approach...a JL movie no matter how you spin it is bound to come off as kind of gimmicky. And the way I see it: No Bale? No Routh? NO DEAL.

^ And I know, its not confirmed the "Big 3" will even be in it but really....whats' the point of a JL movie w/o the Big 3?

Just my two cents.

the chances of this actually being good are sooo slim. I hope it doesn't happen, most of the characters are lame anyway (Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Wonderwoman... the only ones that are interesting are Flash, Martian Manhunter, Batman and Superman).

I'd rather see a Batman/Superman movie first...then a Justice League movie.

lots of doubt in here.
it could work. it could be 3 hrs. it would obviously have all of our attention and support IF it was great.

how much introduction do these characters really need?
