Dan Mazeau is currently writing a script for The flash, jennison and Strickland are currently working in the 2nd draft of WW for Joels Silver, and MM won't be in a movie unless JLA is made.

A Martian Manhunter solo movie would be best if it played up the John Jones angle to it, where he's trying to find his place among humanity, you can still put him up against other aliens (the White Martians work perfectly, as does Malefic) as long as their "invasion" is a subtle one.

Supermax is a different situation. That was just Goyer going "look what I did" without anything official. Suicide Squad already has producers, but they happen to hire a lame writer unfortunately.

They wouldn't dare do this with Metal Gear though... Hideo Kojima and his fans would tear apart anybody who dared to make a mockery out of it...

Obscurity won't mean anything to comic fans or the public. All they need to is watch the movie to know about the characters.

Deadshot doesn't need to be in a Batman movie to be in a film. Besides, he's more known as a Suicide Squadder then a Batman villain over the last few decades in comics.

But your comparison to Supermax implies that it is just come creator's pet project when it is a greenlit, in the pipeline movie. Otherwise theres no more evidence it won't get produced than any other greenlit movie at this point so I'm not sure why you would claim that.

Well, it's not greenlit yet. So far it's just in development. It could end up being fast tracked, or it could eventually be made a few years down the line, or it might not get made at all. That's the nature of the studio development process. But you're right to say that there's no reason to definitively state that it won't be made.

I'm interested to see where this goes. DC villains haven't gotten a lot of live-action play, even the A-list villains, because WB is always revamping Bats & Supes. The only thing I'm worried about at this point is Justin Marks writing the script. He's not off to a great start with Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
