WB Studio Stores

[Bat Attack]

Did you ever go to one of the "Warner Bros. Studio Store" outlets and buy their Batman merchandise? I remember going to one in Florida in 1998 and buying a Batman salt and pepper shaker set. The stores went bankrupt in the early 2000's so they aren't open anymore (well the WBshop.com is). Discuss.

Yeah, I used to go to those stores all the time. They kickassed!

There are still a few Warner Bros. stores operating at Six Flags amusement parks. Becase at Six Flags New England there is a rather large store called "Daily Planet Mercantile" that sells WB-related superhero merchandise, along with Looney Tunes, etc.

I remember the few malls I went to had a WB store with tons of Superhero stuff like artwork, statues, toys, clothes.

There was a WB store near me. I went on occasion and picked up art, statues and stuff. Thats also where I met Kevin Conroy.

Was he just there buying stuff? Or was there like book-signing type event happening?

It was a signing. You were sent invitations and had to RSVP. There were only about 40 people there.

I loved those stores! Picked up a few statues and stuff, Batman and otherwise.

He was really cool. I talked with him for about 20 minutes. He really had a grasp for the character as well as great respect. This was during the heyday of Batman Beyond, right before Return of the Joker. He was saying that he enjoyed the challenge of playing an aged Bruce Wayne, but wanted to return to the "modern day" Batman. It was cool when he was able to do that with JL. When they introduced him he came out and in his "Batman voice" said, " I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman". lol. It was a bit corny, but cool at the same time. Very cool dude, and very humble with the fans. The only regret is that I wasnt able to get a pic with him, WB managemnt said it wasnt permitted. Dont know why.
