Thanks for the links, Katsuro.

Something that caught my eye in the CHUD article:

"After watching the live action version of Nite Owl and Silk Spectre fighting I went behind the camera to see what Snyder had captured. The playback started, and the action looked bone-crunching (as it should - I'm pretty sure there was some serious contact being made with the stunt people's faces, and they were also slamming themselves damn hard into the concrete floor). As the Nite Owl on the screen started to do a kick, the speed suddenly changed - it became very slow and then as contact was made ramped up to accentuate the moment of impact. That was familiar - Snyder was keeping his style from 300."

Sounds pretty cool. I hope it's not as overused as it was in 300...then again, we don't have a *ton* of man-to-man fighting in this film, so it should play out just fine.

Awesome.

The fact that Patrick had them add the night-owl line is very cool.

Well, looks like the embargo has been lifted, and WatchmenComicMovie.com and CHUD.com have posted reports of their Watchmen set visits. They only have previews now, and will have more later, but there's some interesting stuff to be found.

Looks like Veidt lives. How awesome is that?

Glad I checked before I went to bed.

I feel the same way. The effect could be cool if used a couple times, but I hope it's not like 300 where it's used over and over again.

sounds amazing.

also, sounds great that haley was talking about how he buffed up. i agree the action could be annoying if filmed like that too much, but if it's in there the right amount and used well, it would definitely complement the fights.

can't wait for the teaser; almost as anticipated for me as the dark knight film itself! :wow:

I don't doubt that THE DARK KNIGHT will be amazing...but WATCHMEN will be something else.

As much as I love Watchmen, it wont touch TDK.

Slo-mo actually sounds very appropriate to me for certain parts. Moore and Gibbons used it, in a manner of speaking. Why not Snyder?

I'm afraid we're going to see variable speed action scenes like in 300. And I don't think they're suited for Watchmen.

Well for WatchMen, I don't think he'll do it like 300; he knows their both completely different and that WM doesn't have the kind of action sequences to maintain a 300 like pace. However I can definatly see those slow-mo scenes happening when Rorschach breaks through the window escaping the SWAT and those sorts of scenes, but like I said I kinda doubt it. :brucebat:

Has it been confirmed if they are going with the name The Minutemen? Because in the Superherohype set walkthrough it said "The Watchmen, as they're called, are real people haunted by real problems" Perhaps I'm reading too much into this sentence.

The first team will still be called the Minutemen.

Watchmen isn't an action film and I personally have no interest in seeing the 300 style slo-mo effect invading this movie. I can only hope it only poises this one scene.
