I am sure but I could be wrong, but on the last clip on the news part of this website titles - best one yet - Optimus looks like he has a sword!

Can anyone confirm this

I like how they made his 'sword' somewhat similar to his energon axe. It's not a full on axe or sword but a mix of the two.
