Who is brawl *spoiler*

My mate just got back from watching the movie and said it was the best movie this year by far but he had one gripe.

Brawl is known as Devastator

Can anyone confirm this as I am watching it tonight and I will be pissed coz i was hoping to see the sequel with

yup. he's referred to as such, in the movie anyways. maybe that was a typo... as it was just a subtitle. :P

The Decepticon Tank is known as Devastator in the movie. Brawl is the name given to the toy version. I believe that it is the toy that was mislabled, not the movie character. He was know as Devastator in the leaked script so I guess they stuck with it.

I think the damage might have already been done. If they want combiners then they might have to settle for Bruticus or Menasor (sp?), personally I dont think they need combiners in any of the movies.

No I actually think Brawl was intended to be the movie character as Bay said that there was an error in the movie that they didn't notice till it was too late.

I would like to see a Gestalt or two just to make the action bigger. They have a choice out of a few and I guess they could still have Devastator...with that name but it is complicated further by Bonecrusher being in the film.

With the Decepticons not just being limited to the air in the film then there is no reason for them create the Stunticons....but it is not like they have to adhere to that and I am sure if someone thinks of something it will happen.

Yeah... the Air superiority (and ALL Decepts can fly thing) vs ground thing was one of my real early gripes with the movie. "A Decepticon CAR--- in the "intro" movie? - Blasphemy!" But I got over it.

Yeah...I mean it doesn't really bother me that Barricade is in the film....as long as the Autobots can't fly and then mysteriously lose that ability everything is cool.

It's just that Barricade makes the Stunticons feel rather redundant.

I prefer to think that they could just jump "really high" in that first episode... like the Hulk or something. I mean, if they could fly why couldn't they just fly out of the water? Then again, why were they floating in the water? t: Ah... cartoons. Gotta love em.

That's odd that he is known as Devastator in the movie. Didn't they call him Brawl when they announced the names, after the leaked scripts and pictures. Also, in the video game he is known as Brawl. Maybe it was a mistake in the movie.

Ehhh, well the book stayed with him being called Devastator, so a part of me knew Brawl wouldn't be used but I still called him Brawl.

Not a big difference to me...although if he was called Devastator, they should've let him live on.

So, yah, that'll probably kicked them in the arse when they wanna put in the Constructicons in the sequel.

It might turn into an 'if Eddie Brock was heard in the first movie, why have him just start working at the Daily Bugle in the third one?'

Hahahah...that is one strong reef...was it made out of adamantium?

LOL, I just dismiss it as the writers finding their feet. What can the Autobots and Decepticons do and what can't they do? I mean it is only in MTMTE and anytime after that they required external jetpacks.

Yup just watched it again, definately said devastator. it was rumoured that Devastator would appear as a separate character that transformed into a modified M1 Abrams tank. This character was listed as being renamed Brawl; however, in the final movie, the Decepticon clearly identifies himself as Devastator. This is due to Hasbro's edited name (Brawl) not being altered in time to make the final cut of the film.

The films producer, Tom DeSanto, states the possibility of adding the Constructicons in a sequel.
