Wear wristwatch? Use e-mail? Not for Class of '14

Peck did agree with the item pointing out that most teens have never used telephones with cords.

"Yes, I've used them but only at my grandparents' house," she said.
Dios mio.

I'm the same age as them and the complete opposite as well. They're just flat out clueless.

I had one of these feel old moments the other day. I just found out my high school band teacher's daughter is about to have a baby. I remember carrying her in a car seat for my band teacher one time.

Reading this article does make me feel old. :csad:

Cheer up guys, there is a way to stay young forever. Just ask Joan Rivers.

I'm 15 and these people just sound like idiots.

It's the Scott Pilgrim Gen vs The Expendables Gen...

In the end... Inception is still the better movie. :o

I don't care about what these young punks know or don't know. As long as I get a robot , a flying car , holographic porn when I'm old I won't give a s*** who runs the world.

The list of things I remember as normal would totally blow those guys minds.

I hate wearing watches. I have a thin wrist so metal watches slide all around on my arm. I'm not wearing a watch with a cloth strap like a child. I carry my phone with me all the time so it's just easier to check that when I want to know the time.

You don't want everything on the Jetsons to come true. If it does, there won't be anymore black people. They don't have any black people on the Jetsons.

Was there anyone other than white people and robots in the Jetsons? lol

And I don't recall holographic porn on that show. Memory is a bit sketchy though.

They had holo porn in the Jetsons future ?

People walking on water, Lucifer when he wasn't such a bad guy, those pesky dinosaurs... things like that?

What was The Plague like? I bet seeing dead people back then was normal :awesome:
Less like Poe's MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH and more like Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD.

Hey...my pet raptors were never pesky.....to me.
Navigating the Titanic and dodging those pesky icebergs?
Dodging......I was supposed to be dodging?

is it really shocking that students born in 91-92 don't remember news stories from april of 92? like they may know what happenned but why would that even be on a survey weather or not they remember it actually being on the news. thats just dumb.

They will know the amazing tense moment of using a phone large enough to kill a puma. Or the intensity of using a rotary phone when your friend is bleeding out on the floor, & you aren't sure you will dial fast enough to save. Those are the days man! I miss my friend though.:csad:

the deal is also with these questions, is that while many young people have never worn a watch apearantly, most older people I know don't wear one anymore. Yes they have the prior experience of doing so, but they are no different than the younger generations than their present actions.

This isn't all that surprising. I can remember being in my teens and thinking how different my life seemed than the descriptions of my parents' teen years. Things change and life moves on, especially in regards to pop culture.

This reminds me of the time when my younger cousin was staying at our house and he wanted to call his mom. He picked up the phone and just stared at it with pure confusion.

I'm like, "Dude, what's the problem?" He says, "How do I put the numbers in?"

Yes, we still had a rotary phone at the time. :woot: It was freakin' hilarious. So, I had to dial the number for him. He looked at the phone in complete and total awe.

And that was back in 1996 or 1997 I think. Younger kids today would crap themselves if they had to use a rotary phone, haha. :oldrazz:
