I just don't see this debate on race and gender going any where. And we likely will drag the threads down. We should wait to see what characters we end up with and see names testing to see if they are changing x guy or not. Cause all this debate could be for mute. Judt like how folks wanted race bent on danny rand and marvel kept true to character.

seesh really this is as i said dumb to keep on debating on to we get some casting info and know of names marvel/sony is looking for. Cause like i said fans can be oh i would love or wouldnt mid if so and so is changed. But we dont know what marvel and sony want to do with any characters yet and more likely then not we likely wont see any major changes to characters. Again if they want change bring in the more enthic characters who exist in the mythos then just pandering to pc reasons to change a character that ultimately doesnt need to be changed. Plus for all we know we could also see like most mcu films them create new and original characters ie our coulsons, darcy, dr. davig and what not to fill a secondary role or we just throw in more background to bit roles with background actors and what not.

I think it'd be pretty cool if some of the Avengers Academy characters appeared as classmates or something. Pre-powers, of course.

Well just looking at the tv shows and films marvel isnt against creating new characters for x role they serve. And look at guys like couslon and a few others being used now in cartoons and in the comics. So i wouldnt be surprised if they did it in spidey too. For me if we where to get a new character i would logically feel it be a teacher/princple role or maybe add another character into the bugle staff(like hoffman was for raimi films). I wouldnt want to see them create a all new bad guy and we dont really need to create an all new friend. As we have many to pick from sally, liz, gloria, mj, gwen, flash, harry, randy, debra, heck even folks like charlie, anna maria and what not down the road and same with felica too.

I'm fine with Michele Gonzales being the love interest since it's too soon for Gwen or MJ to debut. I just want Randy and Harry to show up in the first film, particularly Randy since his dad is the guy who'll get Peter the job at the Daily Bugle.

It's all a waiting to see if zendaya is that character. A brand new character or a possible race bent on a more known mythos lady. Personally I wouldn't mind if she was a teen Michelle from comics or a liz/sally type of character. I do not expect them to bend mj or gwen just to be different.

I definitely want to see miles, white tiger and Amadeus cho all turn up. I mean why not? It's not like you need to worry about the spotlight being stolen and people not knowing who Spider-Man is

Why is it too soon? There's not enough movies in Holland's potential future to waste time with him dating a nobody character like Michelle.
