Horror Welcome to Derry - HBO Max Developing IT Prequel Series

“Oh GOD, that girl’s eyes are turning into worms?? This is the most upsetting thing they’ll show tonigh— hold on. Is that little idiot actually going to take that pill she’s fishing out of the toilet…? I’d like to change my vote.”

Also…

I was wondering if Madeleine Stowe would end up being a manifestation of It, after a couple of scenes with her only interacting with Lilly, but the promo for the weeks ahead actually got me wondering…

We see Lilly looking through someone’s photo album and finding photos of Bob Gray. Now looking back at one of these photos (I’m assuming from Chapter Two?)…

I wonder if Madeleine Stowe is that girl.

I loved the premier, that ending - woah. Yet, hated the second episode... almost fell asleep.

Has it evened out?

This show needs Pennywise. People can say "It's gotta be built up" all they want but he's been missed. That clown is intrinsically part of IT's DNA and I hope he gets a lot of screentime in the back half of the season.

Agreed with y'all. They've done a fine job with the buildup imo, but it's time to bring him in.

I think the show has done well enough without him, but Pennywise’s arrival really does kick things up a notch.
Agreed. You want him, but you don't necessarily miss him, either, and I applaud the show's restraint in not showing him when the showrunners could have plastered him all over the series.

While I'm glad that we will, indeed, get him soon, the fact that the show has done as well as it has in the ratings without him speaks to the fact that it doesn't need to lean on Pennywise as a crutch or ratings grab.
