...Well that didn't take long.

Yeah. "Gross overreaction".

It was an overreaction to your overreaction. Like the fact that we weren't buying the comic offended you.

Also, BOOM! is a horrible name for a comic book company and is just as bad as Liefeld's "AWESOME COMICS".

Asking why, isn't and will never be an overreaction.

THAT, I will agree with you on.

I hope Captain America returns, because if this is just some joke..i can imagine it will backfire.

God I hate this isea. How stupid is he? bringing back the old Cap( THATS STILL THE SAME CAP GOD DAMN I!!) just a few months after he died? I ..just hate it. thats all....

I was thinking about something, this is a time travel story right? and we're assuming that the old invaders will time travel back? Will that change history? I mean will Cap go back and figure out how to not get frozen? Will he get frozen and then when he un freezes kill Iron man?

Why would he kill Iron Man? Even in the Civil War, he didn't want to kill Tony.

I suspect this'll be a time travel story where everything in the past is set back to the status quo so that the past plays out as it should and the present remains the same. The present-day characters'll probably just have to deal with the repercussions of seeing the Invaders again and losing Cap again.

Dont get all happy about Cap's return...remember the first issue of FF that promised Thor's return...
..all we might get is a blonde guy grabbing Cap's shield and then getting on a Greyhound Bus

We already know it's not Cap coming back. It's an Invaders-time-travel-to-the-present story.

So, in a way, it's actually quite similar to Civil War's return of 'Thor': it's kind of him, but only in a way that'll leave the fans consummately unsatisfied when it's all over. :o

You're onto something. Same thing with Captain Marvel.

Marvel's new resurrection strategy: underwhelm readers so completely with the event itself that the follow-up seems more interesting by default.

Spoilerrific Newsarama with Ed Brubaker about Cap #29.
Newsarama said:
NRAMA: True. Moving on - this week saw the announcement of Avengers/Invaders - did you know about this at the time of Cap #25?

EB: No, I wrote Cap #25 about a year ago at this point. I have known about this project for a while now, though. And I was given a head's up about the teaser art that was going out last weekend.

NRAMA: Will it affect what you're doing on the series? Obviously, you've got Bucky, and the original Bucky will be coming up...kinda...odd, not to mention your cast's reaction to having "a" Cap running around...

EB: I don't know about "affect" but it's something that I think is really cool. I wish I were getting to write it, actually.
So do we, Ed. So do we.
