Were the 1990's lame?

I've never heard of them. Are you sure they aired in the states?
I have no idea, actually. I guess not if you guys had never heard of them. Although I didn't think Simian and the Biker Mice were British Productions. Captain Scarlett was though.

Can't deny Jordan's legacy... the man is a legend.

Nope, he's the best to ever play the game. It just sucked that he won every ****ing year. And it's not just that he beat my favorite team. Reggie Miller is known for being a Knick killer, and I don't hate him at all. Yet, I despised the Bulls until this year. I'm also under the impression that Jordan unintentionally ruined the NBA. Before him, you could be a skinny white guy and make NBA teams as long as you shot the ball well and played good defensively. Now all the NBA wants are athletes and it doesn't matter if you can shoot or play defense. It's not his fault, but it happened because of him. That's why I hope that Kevin Durant wins 6 championships during his career. Sure it'll be boring to have one team win all the time again, but maybe it'll change the culture back to the way it was. Because KD is a throwback, a modern day Larry Bird.

i grew up in the 80s but was a teen/late teens in the 90s. The 90s were good times. So were the 80s. They're about the same to me. I can say I'm baffled at how much the world has seemingly changed in the last 15 years. Or maybe I'm the one who changed. Whoa. I think I just blew my mind.

90s had Animaniacs and Freakazoid. Those two things alone make the 90s awesome.

Then you have home PCs, mobile phones being something other than giant bricks that only yuppies could afford.

90s was relatively peaceful compared to other decades.

People weren't completely broke and losing their houses left and right. Unemployement was pretty low.

The list goes on...

It was in the 90's we got off from school for 3 weeks in a row because of a blizzard. The school had to add 1hr extra to school after spring break to make up for the lost time.

a few more to add to the list of why the 90's weren't lame

South Park
Goldeneye for N64
Jurassic Park (and subsequently the rise of CGI in movies)
The rebirth of Star Wars (the prequels, games, etc)
The cute chick in 8th grade english touched my ding-a-ling

Oh yeah! Blizzard of 96 was awesome.

I loved the 90's. Its the 2000's that sucked.

The 80's sucked. Well, not really, but it certainly doesn't live up to the praise you 80's kids give it.

As someone who was born in 1990, yeah, I enjoyed the 90's. Because I was a kid. And if you were a kid, you are in no position to judge, because you'll be heavily biased.

Soon, 90's nostalgia will take over the internet and become just as annoying as 80's nostalgia was.

Economically we were pretty well off, and there weren't too many wars going on. I'd say it was pretty good. The only reason it seems lame is because that which was cool always becomes lame eventually. Being a Patriots Fan, I have a lot of fond memories of 2001, yet that was the year of 9/11...go figure. I also liked '94 and '88, I was pretty young for both those years so basically a slew of good Transformers episodes kept me satisfied. I got my first kiss in '99, can't complain there.

We had money, peace, a sense of optimism (heading into the year 2000 anyway) and Michael Jordan. What else did we need?

The 90's were awesome for me. Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis, Nintendo Power and Game Pro magazines, Marvel and DC cards, all the awesome cartoons.

I remember NBA and NFL Starter jackets were huge and the Canucks name it to the Stanley Cup final.

I must be really old because I still don't feel the 90's are over. I couldn't feel any difference between the 90's and the 2000's. And I'm not feeling any compared to the 10's either.

90's: Some people have computers and even the internet!

Today: Everybody has the internet in the palm of their hand.
