What about another Swamp Thing TV Show?

Do you think today's TV budget could handle something like this?
I never saw the original show but reading some of the original comics and the new ones from the new 52 i think that it could be great, if done right.

Can this be done or is it too expensive for TV?
It could be more horror themed than The Walking Dead, and could also have the Walking Dead structure of having the show as a whole being a continuing adventure instead of being a monster of the week show.

I wanted to know if it would be too much for a tv budget, why do you think it would fail? It surelly seems something too big for TV, but maybe if done by a channel like HBO it could be successful, what do you think?

because anything even remotely sci-fi doesn't stand a chance on today's network tv landscape.

^ The should do it like HBO did Spawn which was awesome! Dark creepy animated horrorshow in the middle of the night, based on Moores saga.
