Every time c.lee closed one of my threads I printed out his posts and used it as toilet paper.

yeah cuz we all know each other soooo well here on the anonymous internet.

Do you still think Aunt Petunia is female. :csad:
Well, regardless of how well we "know" each other, most of us had you pegged...and cheers for us, we called it right.

20,000 troops or not, they could still use volunteers.

Well there was that BIG feud... y'know... the one between PALADIN and everyone who could actually use their higher brain functions. heh.

Oh, wait....wait a minute...guys, I think this was a joke. Was it supposed to be a joke? Damn, I can't tell. Usually jokes provoke laughter.

:whatever:

PALADIN > You. :yay:

Oh blow it out your ass Nostradamus.

I changed my mind because of 20,000 troops. That is a significant development.

From no help in Darfur to 20,000 troops?

You have no right to tell me I shouldn't change my mind on going based on that. None.

If I raised awareness even a smidgen it was worth the misguided mob attack and short-sighted ridicule.

The only thing you raised awareness of was that we all knew you wouldn't go, even though you were being a pious a-hole over the whole thing.

You don't know squat about me or 99% of people who post here. :whatever:

What part of anonymous internet don't you understand?

and I won't question your expertise of pious a-holes. Your the midget-king of pious a-holes.

And you're still not in Darfur even though you went out of your way to ridicule everyone on the planet who wasn't going to go with you. ;) You made your thread all about YOU and how you were SOOOO much better than everyone else because you were going to go and make a difference in Darfur. You didn't talk about the strife or the problems the people of Darfur face and what folks could do to help from where they are. You just made it about you. And we all knew you wouldn't go. And that's why you're getting mocked for it all over again. :)

I ridiculed people who didn't care in any form whatsoever in a way to bring more attention to the thread.

Most Darfur threads barely get 2 pages. That thread was going to pass 15 pages if not closed. Say what you will about my approach but it created a spirited debate regarding a widely ignored issue. Sure most of that energy was directed at me but there were thse who admitted they didn't know the extent of the problem until they read some of the thread.

I never went to Darfur partly because in the following days it was announced the UN was planning to send 20,000 troops. That made a difference in my resolve to go and help by myself. Don't really care if you believe me.

I knew you and expected the haters were going to remind me about Darfur every time I was hanging around the hype. I did initially this to test my resolve. But now that the 20,000 troops have been announced it changes the situation substantially.

I don't know why the only time some of you guys can use "Darfur" in sentance on the hype it's to attack me. Can you possibly mention that country for, I don't know, productive or humanitarian reasons?

Maybe if you hadn't have been so snotty about the whole thing to begin with it wouldn't have gone that way. I don't think ANYONE would disagree that what's happening in Darfur is horrible and the innocent civilians there are in dire need of some assistance.

Darfur........just hearing it makes me want to ban someone......

And we all knew you wouldn't go.
Keep thinking you know people you "meet" on the internet. Your life savings is going to end up in a Nigerian's off-shore bank account.

Nah.

It's because you wannabe prom queens like picking on the less popular as if it really increases your worth as a human being. Sad really.

Not to mention you can't comprehend how 20,000 troops shifted my strategy to make a difference. But I don't expect anything more from people who only bring up Darfur when it means they can slander a stranger on the internet. lolz.
