I ridiculed people who didn't care in any form whatsoever in a way to bring more attention to the thread.
Most Darfur threads barely get 2 pages. That thread was going to pass 15 pages if not closed. Say what you will about my approach but it created a spirited debate regarding a widely ignored issue. Sure most of that energy was directed at me but there were thse who admitted they didn't know the extent of the problem until they read some of the thread.
I never went to Darfur partly because in the following days it was announced the UN was planning to send 20,000 troops. That made a difference in my resolve to go and help by myself. Don't really care if you believe me.
I knew you and expected the haters were going to remind me about Darfur every time I was hanging around the hype. I did initially this to test my resolve. But now that the 20,000 troops have been announced it changes the situation substantially.
I don't know why the only time some of you guys can use "Darfur" in sentance on the hype it's to attack me. Can you possibly mention that country for, I don't know, productive or humanitarian reasons?
