It's not really everyone.

Everyone = same group of community prom queens and their spineless brown-nosed groupies.

There are alot of brown-noses in community that side with the prom queens no matter what. But they don't account for most of the hype.

I understand some of you self-appointed hype elite and bandwagon jumpers don't like me and think you're better than me for whatever reason but at least acknowledge that something needs to be done other than mocking that one guy on the hype deluded enough to believe that a single flawed individual can make a difference. I mean have a little foresight for Heavens sake.

I never went to Darfur partly because in the following days it was announced the UN was planning to send 20,000 troops. That made a difference in my resolve to go and help by myself. Don't really care if you believe me.

I knew you and expected the haters were going to remind me about Darfur every time I was hanging around the hype. I did initially this to test my resolve. But now that the 20,000 troops have been announced it changes the situation substantially.

You know, I barely visit the Community forum but the part I bolded, and other statements in this and other posts, makes me see the points of the other posters against you. It drips with self-importance bordering on delusions of grandeur. I don't know you, but that's how you come across.

If you're doing something to raise awareness about Darfur you probably don't care about someone being too preachy or "self-important". Yeah my methods aren't perfect but don't discourage others from being too preachy. I mean if you were refugee waiting desperately for help would you criticize some guy on the internet who wasn't raising awareness with mechanical efficiency or the 85% of people who ignore the issue completely???

I shame ppl for not doing anything but if you don't like my methods lead by example and raise awareness another way. Don't just sit there, criticize my methods, then go watch an old episode of Heroes on your big screen tv.

I never said you were righteous, the terms I used were not leading to righteousness. That's a title you foisted upon yourself.

I'm not criticizing your methods. I was pointing out how much you think of yourself by saying that you were going over there to "help by yourself"; how arrogant do you have to be to think that there aren't people over there already helping? And how much of an attention ****e can one person have to be to supposedly have the "resolve" to go over there but as soon as troops get assigned they back off. Why is that? Because you think they're going to steal your thunder? Because there's no chance that "a single flawed individual can make a difference" with troops over there? If you truly believed in the difference a single person can make you would have still gone.

See? I can be a hypocritical and judgmental jerk just like someone who cries "you don't know me because of the anonymous internets, LOLZ" and then presume to know what I watch and in what fashion.t:
