?? I missed the new season??

oh crap

According to epguides, s4 starts 9/4/15, which is likely the Canadian premier date. Syfy usually broadcasts it some days later.

The Season 4 premiere episode was released online by Showcase on August 21

Good finale.

Final two episodes were a bloodbath.

I liked Kira's bittersweet ending and Kellog getting what was coming to him. I guessed that the body guard was his daughter.

I wasn't sure if she was or not but I knew she had some deeper connection than "devotee" to him. Kira's ending was a bittersweet one, although she should have guessed (and it should have been obvious) that was the only way it could end given the way events unfolded.

Good albeit predictable finale. Though that also means it was a satisfactory end to a topsy turvy journey. Probably a few character arcs were left hanging but that is expected since the series was handed a harsh deal in having recieved just a SIX episode order. But the arcs that did pay off (Kellog, Alec, Fonnegra) were very nice to watch. Overall, an fun, above average Sci-fi adventure which handled time-travel like a boss!

Hope Rachel Nichols next role is back as a redhead. Her as Scarlett in GI Joe. She frankly defines eye candy.

Keira knew the deal before she took that leap back home. The future she left wasn't going to be there. I would have liked it if she just stayed in present time. If they wanted to show us the better future. They could have done so through Alek's eyes.

Busy tv season for Roger Cross. In the last 2 months I think I've seen him get killed off in 4 or 5 different series.

I wish the final season got more episodes to explain who exactly was the time traveler and why was it important that his timeline was to remain intact? Oh well.

The time traveler appeared to be Jesus (quite literally going by appearance and the time traveling) although why his particular timeline was important wasn't explained I assume it had something to do with his appeal for a better and more peaceful humanity (assuming he was meant to be Jesus).

I think they tried to make it less obvious to avoid offending anyone who might take exception that Jesus was a time traveler from the future, or maybe they just had to cut all the exposition behind who he was because of the shortened season.

This particular time line was important because it led to his own. That's how I rationalize it.

Satisfying finale even I didn't understand or catch up with all the times changes.
It was odd to see The Smoking Man with an happy face, it doesn't suit him :)

Good finale I just watched it. I'll miss the show. <sniffles> Just like I miss Nikita. They both had good runs and the same fate. A shortened fourth season.

You did it, Keira! Bittersweet.

There was an interview with the creator of Contiuum, Simon Berry, and he confirmed a few things.

How exactly did the shortened episode order for the final season affect the narrative? Were there any stories you wanted to explore in more depth but were unable due to the smaller episode count?

We definitely had to get off the side roads and jump on the freeway for the last season. There were pros and cons to this.

On the positive side, we could dispense of the episodic storytelling that tends to infect a longer 13-episode season. We treated Season 4 like a limited series or miniseries, with one story and no closed-ended episodic stories. This allowed us to use the maximum real estate to close out character arcs and focus on Kiera, Alec, Carlos and Kellog as our primary interests.

The negative was there was never going to be enough time to deal with all the threads we had set up. Emily, Julian, the Traveler were all supposed to get larger stories. We had also discussed an entire season set in 2077 to really get to know each member of Liber8 and how they eventually got signed up with the cause.

All of these ideas had to be tossed in order to close out what was happening with our main characters and Kiera’s drive to return home. But I’d take six episodes any day over being canceled mid-story without the chance to finish. I feel genuinely lucky to have had the opportunity to have an ending when so many shows never do. No complaints here.

So we would have found out more about who the Traveler was and what happened with Emily.

I wonder if they can make a comic or something? They clearly have an idea what they want to do story-wise. It won't be a silly ploy like Smallville S11, which wasn't absolutely bad but definitely not great.
