What big name Marvel talent is jumping ship for DC?

I think it's a good signing. They should still get a big name writer though.

I like that he is over here on the good side of the fence but i cant help but think he will be used like the Kuberts have been, that would be very sad. Heres to hoping he lands on Batman or even GL would be nice. SInce he has experience with Teams JLA would be great with him and Johns writing.

Bad thing is...who will Marvel steal away?

I really don't see DC's main writers jumping ship. Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison have been put in charge of the DC Universe. Gail Simone has been turned off of Marvel. James Robinson, Peter Tomasi, Paul Dini, Tony Bedard, Sterling Gates, Bill Willingham, Jimmy Palmiotti, Judd Winick, Justin Grey, and Keith Giffen are given the work that they want to do. And when you had Greg Rucka hop on board for co-writing an arc on Daredevil you had DC give him lots of work after that. Fabian Nicieza is under an exclusive contract.

Same with most of their artists, DC is allowing WildStorm to remain despite it's rather abysmal performance which will certainly keep Jim Lee. Francis Manipul, Doug Mahnke, Ivan Reis, Ethan Van Sciver, and Gary Frank will never leave Geoff Johns, Frank Quietly will never leave Grant Morrison, Amanda Conner will never leave Jimmy Palmiotti, and Aaron Lopresti, George Perez, and Mark Bagley are under exclusive contracts. I can't see Dustin Nguyen leaving DC (though I never saw Mark Bagley leaving Marvel either).

Anyone else is rather irrelevant and no big loss for DC.

I've always liked Finch's work. It was the only thing that got me through Ultimatum. Very interested in seeing what books he gets put on. Hopefully a Bat-title.

I'm thinking that he's going to be put on Detective Comics.

That's what I'm saying. This ain't f**king news.

finch? eww, gross! i bet they put him on JLA. i'd like to think people at DC were sitting around being like "dude, there is NO WAY we could make JLA any worse than we already have." and some other guy was like "you wanna bet?".

She had some dispute with her editor when she was on Deadpool/Agent X and sees it as too much of a fraternal boys club.
Huh. I never noticed, but it does seem like Marvel has a much greater percentage of men working on their comics. Christina Strain and Louise Simonson are the only women I can think of who currently do creative work for Marvel off the top of my head.

Christina Strain? Any relation to Julie Strain? Hot chick who used to do all that softcore porn then fell in love with that Heavy Metal guy who used to draw her having graphic sex with robots?

Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And I don't know. Christina Strain is a colorist. A really good one, in fact.

There's the lady who wrote the recent Hellcat mini.

DC doesn't have many either.

While DC doesn't have many either, they still have a woman in their top tier stable of writers unlike Marvel and DC was once run by a woman as well.

A quick couple of searches gave me:

Marvel
Christina Strain
Louise Simonson
Kathryn Immonen
Sara Pichelli

DC
Gail Simone
Felecia Henderson
Amy Reeder Hadley
Nicola Scott
G. Willow Wilson

Anyone know of any others?

Oh yeah, one lucky DC book will be horrible yet have undeserved high sales for 6-12 months.

Devin Grayson. Ha. :o

I'm more like "whoa!" to see Morrison being put on WW since this is the first I hear of this, anything but Gail Simone at this point, she means well but she really doesn't understand this character or her world. I wish Rucka was still on that book.

Oh really? Well i don't think Morrison is going to monthly titles. Perhaps Wonder Woman: Earth One? Or Morrison takes All-Star Wonder Woman and Adam Hughes' stuff becomes WW: Earth One.

Phil Jimenez? He just returned to Marvel was it an exclusive deal?

All Star DC is dead. It sounds like Morrison is taking over the Wonder Woman monthly (probably because sales are horrid for that title).

I think Adam Hughes' All Star Wonder Woman is going to become Wonder Woman: Earth One.
