What did everyone think of Episode 2? (Spoilers)

After getting spoiled on snipes' awesome badass fight skills, getting this major downgrade is sad.

Seriously, it looks way too rehearsed. They should pull that move where the director zooms way in on the actors and then speed up the tape so it looks like they're moving faster, but it's too obscured to actually see the twitchiness of people in fast-forward motion. It's a lame trick, but it'd be better than the slow, boring fight scenes so far.

I totally agree with the Batman. At the end of episode one they showed the preview for episode 2. I was psyched because when I heard Fritz say "Let's finish this" I was thinking that it was time for the fight I've been waiting for. But as you said we did get another crappy fight. The fight scenes in this show have to improve. Nuff said.

I love the whole Vampire Mythos and digging deep into that. The whole ash thing is a pretty cool idea as well. I actually like the story overall better than Trinity. If you're going to take the story away from Blade it should be good and this is superior intellcutally than Trinity. The effects don't stand up but they're good enough.

I liked the pilot and I'm liking this series. Do I miss the badass fights in Blade movies? Yes but this is a television show and a different beast entirely. The Villain, Marcus Van Sciver is a great villain, they have great co-stars in the show like Jessica, Krista and Shen. Intriguing plot and subplots. When I watched the pilot, I didn't like Sticky trying to imitate Snipes. But just by watching the second episode, I could see that eventually Sticky will portray his own version of Blade. I only think it will get better as time passes. People say he can't fight like Snipes, well there aren't many people who can fight like Snipes. And this is a television show, the budget needs to be reasonable. But I'm really liking this series. It's different and cool.

I just watched it off Tivo and i thought it was better then the pilot, and i did like the Pilot also but this one was better. Im getting the vibe that Marcus is catching on to the Krista/Blade thing but after her killing Fritz i think that'll throw him off guard. All in all i liked it and it's great!

I'm with everyone else here who thinks it sucks that Fritz got killed off so early; he was shaping up to be a cool recurring villain to fight.
I think what's far more interesting, though, is the cop that's now on the loose. They're slowly building him up to be a huge threat and I'm hoping that there's a huge throwdown with him and Blade in the next few epsiodes - but not immediately; they still need to build him up.
Marcus Van Sciver is an interesting character, and a great deal of that comes from the actor (don't know his name), who can best be described as "Paul Bettany Lite."
Overall I'm very impressed with the show; I didn't expect that it'd be even average, but it's actually become my favorite show on TV
