ok i tried to use the lame ass search, but it aint workin... i wanna know what you guys think of the new movie... some of you may know how i feel, but ill reserve my comments until some start rolling in...

I'm down with it. Seeing an early screening in just a couple of hours, actually

I've already been threatened by a couple friends of mine and their kids that are like my nephew and niece that I HAVE to go see it with them. So, I'm looking forward to seeing it from the trailers I've seen but most of all to see the kids' reactions.:D

i saw a press screening last week. overall i thought it was a great film. cant wait to see it again.

i started out extremely excited when i found out brian singer was directing... as i read more and more about the project and more and more was released about it, my excitement slowly turned to indifferance and then tragicly anger...
not a fan of the suit (though ill admit, i dont hate it as much as i used to)...
not a fan of stupid sidekicks like otis or kitty...
not a fan of kate bosworth being cast as lois...
not a fan of a "jokey" luthor... if lex makes any jokes they should be dry and cruel, and few and far between...
not a fan of the "donner continuation..." make your own movie singer, dont make the movie you think donner wants you to...

NOW i should say that i havent seen the film yet... my nephew asked me to take him so i kinda have to... there are a great many things i have heard that i dont like, BUT im going to try to go in with an open mind...

I can't wait. I'm going to the 3D IMAX opening tonight in the Metreon.

There are a few things I question but over all I am looking forward to seeing this movie.

I love the cast. I just wish that they were acting in a movie based on the actual comics rather than being based on Donner's film.

I hate Crystal Krypton.

I hate Lois having a kid.

I hate Lex not having LexCorp and relying on marrying into money rather than building a fortune through his own genius.

I hate "jokey" Lex as well. He's just not the Luthor I ever want to see on screen - either in a pre-crisis or post-crisis Superman movie.

I hate Pa Kent being dead (an extention of my dislike for carrying on Donner's film).

I wish they had incorporated a supervillain to have an earthshattering fight with Superman.

I wish that Singer and co. hadn't decided to make everything on Superman's costume smaller (the boots, the collar, the shield, the trucks). I also wish that the red was actually red and not this half-assed dark red/maroon crap that they felt they needed to put in there. As well, I wish Superman had the \S/ shield on his cape and that his spit curl was actually shaped like an S.

But I'll watch it anyway. Because I'm a sheep and it's Superman. :(

i agree with crystal krypton, and pa kent :(

and why are their mini "s"'s in the suit everywhere? dumb... s buckle? dumb...

The more and more I hear about it the less and less I like the look of it or the ideas in it.

I just wish they had restarted the series.

i'm all for the new suit and what not. what i dont like is lois having a kid. that just doesn't seem right

i'm totally against it from the day I heard singer was at helm. I knew it was in for trouble. But, of course like cattle i'm going to see it anyway. I'll just lower my expectations maybe i'll like it.

I don't like some of the story ideas or the suit, but overall it looks good.

I'm definatly gonna be seeing this. Just wish they took the oportunity to use some of Supes' other villians, but theres always the next one.

I have some problems with it, but I rarely let that fanboy stuff get in the way of enjoying a good film, and it looks really excellent. I'll be there at the first show tomorrow.

how about you guys wait to see the film before you say, based merely on speculation, what you dont like about it. im not gonna touch on everything here, but once you see the film, you'll realize that saying lex is 'jokey', is the farthest thing from the truth.

Saw it.

Really liked most of it. Some parts of it I didn't like, ie
how the writers wrote themselves into a damn corner for the last fifteen minutes and were too damn stubborn to admit it
, but most of it was spot-on Superman and a very good film.

haven't seen it yet, opens tomorrow here in Australia, i like the costume, i love the casting, and the bits i've seen so far have all looked amazing, Bosworth as lois looks great, Routh as Supes looks amazing, and spacey as Lex it's perfect casting.

and lois having a kid, i'm guessing that's something that will be included into the comics very soon.

I saw it last night. Thought it was good... but not great. Way too much Lois, at the loss of more Superman. And did anyone else notice that he did not, not once in the whole movie, actually PUNCH anything? so yeah, lacking on the action

im not too fond of the idea of Lex kidnapping Lois to get at Supes... it seems kind of beneath him dont you think? i know Lex would see it as beneath him...

I doubt it Pre-Crisis Lex did it all the time.

point being, PRE CRISIS! the crisis happened 20 years ago...

lex didnt kidnap them...or at least, he didnt attempt/go out of his way to kidnap them....they just kinda fell into his lap....so its not like it was part of his plan or anything.
