I just thought of something else to add to my list of things I dislike about modern comics. It's these super-complicated impossible retcons.
I was reading somewhere--can't remember where, maybe another website--someone said that this would be difficult to do. If a cure were found for Oracle, something that would get her walking again, it would be very hard for all those people who really ARE stuck in wheelchairs in the real world, and who had no hope of ever walking again, to deal with. It would just be too hard for them to take. And I can honestly see this.
That's why the whole Oracle thing will probably get scratched. The "physically challenged" issue is a touchy subject, with a lot of sensitive baggage around it.
She should have stayed Oracle, and got her ability to walk back.
